Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza, joined by Director Michael Remir H. Macatangay, leads the Nationwide Simultaneous Friendly Tax Compliance Verification Drive (TVD) in observance of Tax Awareness Month at 168 Mall in Manila on Monday, Feb. 23.
Teams were deployed across 22 Revenue Regions, with the Metro Manila cluster converging at the RR 8B – South NCR Command Center for a nationwide broadcast linking all regional offices. Selected regions showcased their taxpayer engagement and compliance assistance initiatives.
Commissioner Mendoza said the drive supports the Bureau’s DARES reform agenda and reinforces that tax compliance is a shared responsibility. Regional offices also visited establishments to guide taxpayers on proper registration, issuance of receipts, and the timely filing and payment of taxes. (via Mark Balmores | MB)
