Saint Francis’ bones go on public display in Assisi for 800th anniversary of his death

The remains of Saint Francis of Assisi are put on public display for the first time, marking 800 years since the death of the patron saint of Italy. Presented in a transparent case before the altar in the lower basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, visitors will be welcomed in to see the bones for one month from 22 February.
