You Won’t Believe How They Filmed This Scene #doctorwho #shorts

00:00Okay, so it's one of the most iconic Doctor Who moments ever, but did you know how they filmed
00:04the final museum scene in Vincent and the Doctor? Writer Richard Curtis had mentioned to the
00:10director Johnny Campbell an unusual technique that he'd used in a previous film, putting the
00:15actors on a turntable so that they spin while the camera stays still. Campbell took this idea and
00:21built a large turntable that Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Bill Nighy and Tony Coran could stand on
00:26so that the characters behind Vincent could revolve with him and stay in his ear while he's absorbing
00:32the emotion of the moment. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go cry at this scene once again.
