My own original version of the verses by Medieval French poet Jean Bodel describing the great «three matters» of European medieval literature (French Charlemagne legends, King Arthur legends, and myths about the deeds of ancient Rome and its Trojan and Greek mythical forerunners). Here, it is on the main four "cycles" of stories in which we can divide Portuguese heroic literature: the Portuguese-Spanish stories on the fictional Palmeirins/Palmeirines royal knights dynasty, Portuguese stories on the Order of Chivalry (from Bacchus conquest in India to the end of chivalry with the Battle of Alcazar El Kebir, passing by the knights of the Roman Empire, of King Arthur and of Charlemagne), the romances of the dynasty of heirs of king-hero Abidis or its medievalist version Amadis of Gaul, and the stories set in the dynasties of kings of Portugal and Spain mostly named A(l)fonso ("time of the Afonsinhos/Little-Afonsos", in Portuguese parlance). Like my sung version of Bodel's verses, not having found a melody associated to the "Chanson de Saines" online, I used a mixture of the melody of the Norse version of the also carolingian "chanson de geste" "La Chanson de Roland" (or "Rolandskva") and of the melody of Bodel's song "Les un pin verdoiant" (here repeated). A minha própria versão original dos versos do poeta Francês medieval Jean Bodel descrevendo as grandes «três matérias» da literatura medieval europeia (lendas de Carlos Magno francesas, lendas do Rei Artur da Bretanha, e mitos sobre as proezas da Roma antiga e seus precursores troianos e Gregos). Aqui, é sobre os quatro principais “ciclos” narrativos nos quais de podem dividir a literatura heroica portuguesa: as estórias luso-espanholas da dinastia de cavaleiros reais Palmeirins/Palmerines, estórias portuguesas sobre a Ordem de Cavalaria (da Conquista da Índia de Baco até ao fim da cavalaria com a Batalha de Alcácer Quibir, passando pelos cavaleiros do Império Romano, do Rei Artur e de Carlos Magno), os romances da dinastia de herdeiros do rei-herói Abidis ou sua versão medievo Amadis de Gaula, e as estórias passadas nas dinastias de reis de Portugal e Espanha maioritariamente chamados A(l)fonso ("tempos dos Afonsinhos" em vulgo corrente português). Como a minha versão cantados dos versos de Bodel, não tendo encontrado em linha uma melodia associada à "Chanson de Saisnes", usei uma mistura da melodia da versão nórdica da "chanson de geste" também carolíngia "La Chanson de Roland" (ou "Rolandskva") e da melodia da canção de Bodel "Les un pin verdoiant").
