Walking the shoreline at low tide reveals some incredible secrets. We managed to find this "sand sausage" perfectly camouflaged in the wash. These "aliens of the ocean" are vital for cleaning the sea floor, but they feel like nothing else on earth when you pick them up!
If you're out foraging, remember to handle them gently; sea cucumbers can expel their internal organs if they get too stressed! Always check your local beach regulations and bag limits before taking anything home.
