00:00Lindsay Vaughn, a 41-year-old Olympic skier, is struggling after undergoing a fifth surgery.
00:06To repair injuries she suffered in a crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics,
00:11Vaughn suffered a complex tibia fracture and underwent several surgeries in Italy before
00:15returning to the United States for further surgery. In an Instagram post, Vaughn showed
00:20photos of the screws and plates used to repair her tibia and revealed that she is still experiencing
00:26post-surgery difficulties and has not yet been discharged from the hospital.
00:31I went through surgery...it took over six hours to complete. As you can see,
00:36it took a lot of plates and screws to put it back together. But Dr. Hackett did an amazing job,
00:42Vaughn wrote. Vaughn also revealed that her injury was more severe than expected and is still
00:47recovering. She hopes to be released from the hospital soon and will provide more information
00:53about her injury and recovery process.
