00:00When you are a good football team and you win a championship here,
00:03you are going to get raided here and you might lose your offensive,
00:06defensive coordinators or your better players because they think they're worth
00:09more money.
00:09But here's Mike McDonald on a video talking about his offensive coordinator,
00:12new offensive coordinators, lack of maybe experience.
00:15Play calling background.
00:16How do you kind of evaluate that aspect of a decision like this?
00:22Going into it, I do think it's a bit overrated.
00:26Somebody at some point, all play callers have to be first-time play callers
00:30at some point.
00:32You could tell how, like, Brian thinks about the game.
00:35I mean, look, you're going to have to grow in any new role,
00:38but we have a lot of great people around here and a lot of great opportunities
00:42for him to get ready to go.
00:43And I'm really confident he's going to be off and running sooner than later.
00:49So I'm excited about it.
00:51It's going to be a fun process to build this thing.
00:55It looks like a dad and his kid, meaning like McDonald's,
00:57like the kid there, and the dad just came to the table here.
00:59That dude towers it.
01:00How's he going to tell him how to run his offense?
01:02He's going to get shoved in a locker, Joe.
01:05Yeah.
01:05Well, I mean, listen, welcome to having success in the NFL, Donnie, right?
01:10He's not the first coach that's had to go through this.
01:13And, you know, now what determines on whether or not, you know,
01:17what your legacy is going to be here is are you a one-and-done kind of head coach
01:21where it all came together, or are you going to have multiple opportunities
01:25to win multiple, and it doesn't matter who the coordinators are.
01:29So it's a slippery slope, that's for sure.
01:32Just ask your guy in Philadelphia about how much fun it is turning over
01:36coordinators every other year.
