00:00Namaste Achari Ji. My question is from your book, Truth Without Apology.
00:05We all have heard about sacred selflessness, but in your book you mentioned about sacred selfishness.
00:14What does it mean?
00:16That's there in the chapter.
00:20What does the title of the chapter mean? Read the chapter.
00:25Sacred selfishness means being conscious of your true needs.
00:34When somebody takes care of their needs, you often say they are selfish.
00:45Spirituality then is the art of true selfishness.
00:49Because here you are taking care of your true needs.
00:53So being truly selfish is wonderful.
00:57If selfishness means taking care of yourself, taking care of your desires, fulfilling your desires.
01:07And true selfishness means taking care of your deepest desire.
01:12And deepest desire is for liberation.
01:15So that's why I am calling such selfishness as sacred.
01:19Okay?
01:21Thank you Ajaj.
01:22But do read the chapter.
01:23Yes Ajaj.
01:24Thank you Ajaj.
