00:12Okay, we good?
00:14Yep, cameras rolling. When are you ready?
00:17Ghosts. Are they real?
00:19My name's Ali and I'm a student here at UniSA, along with my cameraman Paul and my sound recordist Ned.
00:24For our media assignment, we've chosen to document our investigation into a myth that surrounds the local railway museum.
00:31Our group looked to answer a question that's remained unanswered for years.
00:35Is the local railway museum haunted?
00:38That was good. Ned, what did you think?
00:40Yeah, sounded nice.
00:41Cool.
00:42Okay, that's the intro done then.
00:44Yeah.
00:47I'm doing my job now.
00:49Yeah, I'm so much better at it, look.
00:52Oh yeah.
00:53So, uh, how do you change the aperture?
01:00Okay.
01:04So Ned, tell the people what you call that fucking thing there.
01:08Uh, this thing? This right here is my cat, Snowy.
01:11So you named it?
01:12Yeah.
01:14So when did she die?
01:15Uh, only two days ago.
01:18How'd you go?
01:19Good, the museum's ready for us to start shooting at about 1pm.
01:23Awesome.
01:24Yeah, hopefully all goes well.
01:51So this is our uni, and it's usually pretty dead like this before, but nothing's for a
01:55before 8am.
02:09Who is this beast?
02:12Looking pretty sexy.
02:24Hey, what's up?
02:26Yeah, I'm just getting, um, just doing some shots of the uni before.
02:31Didn't I change the shirt?
02:35Alright, well, I'll finish up and I'll, um, I'll be there in a second.
02:40Okay, alright. See you soon.
02:43Okay, bye.
02:49I only had one shot on the camera.
02:51Hey, what's up?
02:59Oh, check this out.
03:01In 1985, a tragic accident on the Carsten train line brought upon the death of mass murderer Gordon Wright.
03:07Wright was a train conductor and enthusiast who worked in the railway industry between 1979 and 1985.
03:14Despite being a committed railway worker, Wright abandoned his position as conductor mid-1985 and disappeared.
03:21Soon after his disappearance, a number of people who caught trains travelling along the Carsten line were found dead, victims
03:27of murder.
03:28As investigations grew, suspicions began to link the disappearance of Gordon Wright to the murder cases, citing Wright as the
03:35killer.
03:36On August 12th, 1985, Wright was spotted in uniform by security guards late at night, dragging the body of a
03:44female victim down a quiet railway station.
03:47Refusing to be caught, Wright threw himself onto an oncoming train, ending his murder spree in life.
03:52Shortly after his death, police discovered a journal owned by Wright containing recounts of his murders.
03:59Through this, police found that Wright would stalk passages departing from trains at late hours who would then become his
04:04victims.
04:04Deep between the lines are signs of depression and darkness surrounding Wright.
04:10As years passed, the train involved in the incident, along with a few of the carriages, were put to disuse.
04:15Some of them currently reside in the Adelaide Railway Museum of South Australia, while the rest were sent off to
04:21become scrap.
04:23The case of Gordon Wright is a mysterious and chilling one that was eventually put to rest.
04:28The motives of Wright's actions, however, remain unknown.
04:32Weird.
04:34Yeah.
04:52Weird.
04:56Weird.
04:56You guys finished that assignment yet?
04:58What one?
04:59The one on his clock.
05:01Yeah, that was...
05:01That was due last week.
05:03I thought it was tomorrow.
05:04No.
05:07This guy.
05:08This guy.
05:27Hi guys. Sorry to keep you waiting. I'm Bill. I'm Ali. This is Paul and Neb. How are you
05:33going? How are you going? Sorry, are we good to go? Yeah. Paul, do you want to get the
05:37camera set? So, I'll just be asking you the questions and you can answer however you feel
05:42comfortable. Alright, no worries. Do you want me to look at you or at the camera? Just pass
05:46the camera at me, it's fine. Okay. Paul, Neb, you guys good? Mm-hmm. So, just start by introducing
05:53yourself and telling us about your role here at the museum. Okay. My name's Bill and I'm the manager
05:59here at the Adelaide Railway Museum. I've been a manager at this museum for close to 20 years now
06:05and in my years before I worked as a train engineer. When did the museum first open? The museum was
06:12opened in 1988 by a group of rail enthusiasts. So, in terms of business, how are things here
06:17at the museum? Things are great, actually. We get a lot of business through here. Through
06:22the weekdays, we get a lot of bookings for seniors, bus tours and, yeah, just like school groups
06:29and things like that. So, we've been doing a bit of research about the museum ourselves and
06:34we've come across a few stories that we wanted to ask you about. Okay. As you may know or might
06:40have
06:40heard, there's a rumour drawing the museum that the place may in fact be haunted. Is this true
06:46or have you witnessed anything yourself? I thought you were doing a film about the museum's history.
06:52Yeah, we are. It's just, this is one of the things we came across and wanted to address.
06:57I see. Well, I've never seen anything but the place is old and at night can be a little eerie.
07:05What about Gordon Wright? Can you tell us a bit about him? Look, I'm not sure what you
07:34have to do with the museum then. Yeah, I think we've got everything that we need. Okay, guys, this is
07:46it. Feel free
07:48to walk through and have a look through any of the exhibits and basically make yourself at home.
07:52Awesome, sweet. Like I say, if you need any more time, there's no problem. We can organise it just about
07:58any time,
07:59as long as it's during business hours. As we discussed on the phone, I can't let you come in after
08:03dark or after
08:04closing time because our insurance just doesn't cover it. Yeah, that's okay. That reminds me though,
08:10I have to make a phone call. Sorry. Yeah, well, you might be better off going outside because the
08:15reception in here is really, really bad. Good to know. Thank you. No worries. Okay,
08:19I'll leave you guys to it. Cheers. So what do you reckon? About what? I mean,
08:31do you think we're going to see any like ghost stuff? I don't know, man. During the day, probably not.
08:37Okay, we good to get started? Yeah. So we're now inside the museum and the crew and I are going
08:45to look
08:45around for any signs of paranormal activity. It's too cheap. So we're now inside the museum and the crew
08:59and I are going to look around and see if we can sign, signed, sorry. That's all right.
09:07Okay, so we're now inside the museum and the crew and I are going to be looking around for any
09:11signs of
09:12paranormal activity.
09:28Should we get some shots in there?
09:51It's been like an only thing that was called the stage.
09:56This thing should be...
10:24What is that?
10:26What kind of trap door?
10:29Probably just for luggage.
10:31We're dead parties.
10:33I like this one.
10:39It's cosy.
10:44Cosy.
10:53Yeah?
10:54How do you guys feel?
10:56It sounds cool.
10:57There's a lot of good ambience.
10:59What do you think, Paul?
11:00It looks good.
11:01Being all old, the carriages have a kind of natural eeriness to them.
11:05It'd be so much better at night.
11:08Sure.
11:16It was the seat guys.
11:18Calm down.
11:19Uh-huh.
11:20Sure, sure.

13:20I had ear problems.
13:23And Barry Springs was notorious.
13:24We had a complaint up there
13:26that we were always drinking the RIP
13:27Barry Springs here.
13:29And they didn't want me to get it or get me worse.
13:33I love these trains.
13:35This is cool.
13:46Nice.
13:53Good job.
13:55Good.
13:55Again.
14:08Good.
14:09Yeah, that was good.
14:24It was quite lonely.
14:25It smells kind of funny.

21:40Look at all this stuff.
21:48Look, it's Uncle Larry.
21:49The dead ring, no.
21:55Look at all these weird pictures, they're creepy.
22:08I'm not alone.
22:12Let's go.
22:12Three, two, one.
22:14Let's go space.
22:18Look like Cassandra on Doctor Who.
22:21You know the stretch that pleases the skin that's like moist around me.
22:44That'd be such a good light.
23:03That'd be good for us, yeah.
23:08This is so weird.
23:15Yeah, this is the weird one.
23:18It's so sweet.
23:20That's a little shot.
23:25We good?
23:27Yeah.
23:28This carriage in particular is one of the oldest in the museum.
23:33And being here at night is unnerving, to say the least.
23:38Could this be the place that Gordon Wright made his demise?
23:42Or could he be with us right now?
23:46Bit cheesy, Ellie.
23:48What?
23:48Just a little bit.
23:49We'll just cut the last bit.
23:51Okay.
23:51That was the sound on that show.
23:53The acoustics are great.
23:54I can hear everything.
23:55Alright, awesome.
23:56Nice.
23:56Let's go to the next shot.
23:58Just quickly, I've got to just check that I've brought the extra batteries for the light.
24:02This can be two sets.
24:02Really?
24:03We don't have time.
24:04We're too pressed.
24:05Alright, you guys just go ahead.
24:07Trust me.
24:08One minute.
24:12Alright.
24:24What the hell?
24:28What the hell?
24:29What the hell is this?
24:29Let's do this.
24:59Guys?
25:51Let's do this.
26:22I thought we were going to be, like, professional.
26:24I thought we were going to be, like, unscheduled.
26:27Come on, guys.
26:28Let's just get on with it.
26:31Are we rolling?
26:32Just give me a second.
26:35Ned, you good?
26:36Yeah, let's do it.
26:37So we've been in the museum for about an hour now.
26:40So far, no sound of anything out of the ordinary.
26:44But there's no denying that there's something that doesn't feel right about this place.
26:48It feels as like we're not meant to be here.
26:56We're going to be here.
26:57We're going to be here, right?
26:58It's a signal.
27:00We're going to need the süssas.
27:07We're going to be here.
27:07We're going to be here.
27:08We're going to need the park.
27:09We have to have to be here.
27:09We're going to have to, is the pro stack.
27:09He'll need the jardin.
27:09I'll be there.
27:09Okay.
27:28I know a lot of trouble.
27:35Now, check the door.
27:42It's locked.
27:51What was that?
28:05Do you reckon it's like, like, it's legit?
28:08I reckon this place is the real deal. I mean, everyone saw that, didn't they?
28:12Yeah.
28:13Their hair just blew back.
28:16Is it even safe here?
28:18Well, do you think we should leave?
28:20Nah.
28:21Let's stay.
28:22Yeah, we should stay.
28:25Either way.
28:26Alright, let's do it.
29:24Can you do that again, it sounded really neat.
29:32Can you do it again, it wasn't the same.
29:38Good?
29:39No, once more.
29:40Didn't sound the same.
29:41No, we don't have time for this.
29:43Just come on, can you do it once more?
29:46We're going.
29:48Ned, this will help.
29:50We're going!
29:52You guys go, this will take two seconds.
29:54Seriously Ned?
29:56Yeah, let's go.
30:00Ali, wait up.
30:05Look, do you want to just, do you want to just get the shot?
30:07The mic on the camera should be able to pick it up just fine.
30:10You want to just do that?
30:12Okay, yeah, we can splice it in.
30:14Yeah, yeah, that's good.
30:15Alright, let's do it.
30:16So we've experienced strange occurrences, we've heard things, and whether or not this is because of Gordon Wright's presence, we
30:25don't know.
30:26What we do know, however, is that the train museum is not only home to a range of historical exhibits,
30:34but perhaps a greater unknown force, be it benevolent or not.
30:40That's it.
30:41Perfect.
30:42Good.
30:43Okay, we should seriously find Ned.
30:44We should probably get Ned.
30:46Let's go.
30:47This place is starting to actually creep me.
30:55Who's that?
31:14Ned?
31:20Ned?
31:45Yeah.
31:46You alright?
31:47Yeah.
31:48Where is Ned?
31:58Do you reckon, do you reckon he's mucking around?
32:02I feel like I stuff, he wouldn't go as far as to break his head points.
32:07Yeah.
32:14Ali.
32:16Can you see that?
32:22What is that?
32:24Ned?
32:28Ned?
32:31Ned?
32:33Why is that?
32:36Oh, it's okay.
32:40I don't wanna try.
32:47It's okay.
32:48There's been.
32:48Oh, it's okay.
32:49I can't see it.
32:54It's okay.
32:54It's okay.
33:02I can't see it.
33:06Yeah.
33:12Clearly Ned's not in here.
33:21Ned?
33:44Hey, who's this?
33:47What?
33:51What?
33:56Is that?
33:59That's the same picture from the website.
34:04Wait, hold on.
34:08Why would that be a picture of Gordon Wright when Bill didn't even want to acknowledge his existence?
34:17I have no idea.
34:58Okay, can we find Ned and get out?
35:00Yeah.
35:23What is happening?
35:25I don't know.
35:29What is that?
35:32Is that Ned's torch?
35:35What the hell?
35:37Ned?
35:50Ned!
35:54I swear to god if he's cute.
35:56He's nice and nice.
36:09He's nice.
36:16Shit.
36:24Is he in there?
36:26Oh my god.
36:28I'll check the other side.
36:31Okay.
36:33Ned!
36:35Ned!
36:39Oh my god.
36:41Oh my god.
36:57Yeah, this is getting too much now.
36:59I'm actually scared.
37:03What was that?
37:04Did you see that?
37:08Did you see that?
37:14Did you turn the light off?
37:15No, I didn't.
37:16I don't know what's going on.
37:17It's just like...
37:20What is going on?
37:21I don't know what's going on.
37:22I don't know what's going on.
37:24I didn't know what's going on.
37:24Wait, shh, shh.
37:25What?
37:27Do you hear that?
37:30What, what is that?
37:36Stop!
37:40Do you want to try the camera again?
37:42Yeah.
37:42Jack!
37:49I was going...
37:51Go on! Just go on!
37:54Just keep going!
38:01Run!
38:06We're getting the hell out of here.
38:09We can't leave Ned.
38:11We just go and we go get help and then we come straight back.
38:14We can't just, oh my god. We can't leave him.
38:17I can't, I can't, I can't deal with this anymore.
38:19We just go and we find someone and we come back.
38:23We're not going anywhere.
38:25I'm not saying that. I'm not saying we just leave him.
38:28I'm just saying we go somewhere and we just find some help.
38:32And bring them back.
38:34I'm gonna find him.
38:43Ali.
38:46Ned!
38:52Ali!
38:54Ned!
