00:00Distinguished guests, it is a pleasure to be here with you as we embark on a journey
00:06towards establishing a lasting and just peace in the Middle East, a peace that results in
00:12two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security, a peace that
00:18results in transforming our region from death and destruction to hope and prosperity by
00:25integrating the region, bringing together its resources and unleashing its potential.
00:30The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. President, has been seeking peace and justice in the Middle
00:35East for a very long time.
00:38In 1981, King Farhad offered the eight-point plan, which was adopted by the Arab world at
00:44the summit in Fez that essentially established or reconfirmed the notion of land for peace.
00:50In 2002, Saudi Arabia, the late King Abdullah launched the Arab Peace Initiative, which was
00:55adopted by the Arab world unanimously as well as by the Islamic world.
01:00Today, the custodian of the Tuhuli mask, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and His Royal Highness
01:06Crown Prince Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, are working towards realizing a vision for peace
01:12and prosperity and security and integration in our region.
01:16So, Mr. President, we look forward to working with the Board of Peace to establish this noble
01:21objective, and I'm pleased to announce that the Kingdom of Israel will pledge $1 billion over
01:25the next few years in order to achieve this objective to work towards alleviating the suffering
01:32of our Palestinian brothers and bring them the peace that they and the whole region so desperately
01:40desires.
