Harpinder Singh, an AAP Sarpanch from Thathian Mahantan, was shot dead in broad daylight at a wedding in Sheron village, Tarn Taran. Two unidentified assailants opened fire during the ceremony, killing him on the spot and injuring his brother during their escape.
Singh was associated with Aam Aadmi Party and reportedly considered close to Punjab minister Laljit Singh Bhullar. Police have launched a probe.
