00:48Over a period of time, I realized the immense trust that the people have in this company and understood that
00:55this can be leveraged.
00:57So, my contribution was in taking it to the other states of India and spreading it to about 129 branches
01:06and taking the turnover to 1000 crores.
01:08That's really about what I've done in this group. Thank you.
01:23Our founder himself asked us whether we want to stay together or we would like to have the business divided.
01:32That happened about almost 12-13 years ago.
01:36And one of my daughters said, you know, when the five fingers are on their own, you know, you can't
01:42do anything with each one of them.
01:43But, you know, when you keep them together, that's when the strength comes and you can hold things together.
01:49She was about probably 14 or 15 at that age.
01:53So, I think it is because, you know, we've stayed together, you know, as a family, understood the values that
02:02being together can bring about.
02:05So, so far, so good.
02:07So, it is all, you know, shareholding but held as a Hindu and divided family.
02:12So, the dividends, everything go to the HUF.
02:16So, we don't get to use the funds just like that.
02:19So, because my father, you know, believed that that is going to enable ambitiousness, aggressiveness and the entrepreneurship.
02:28You know, that you need to work hard, you know, to make your money rather than just get dividends.
02:34He never believed in creating assets that could give rental income.
02:39There is a family council, family constitution has been written down, very documented principles and values, the veto rights, the
02:51conflict resolution methodology.
02:54All of that has been written down.
02:56We were all part of it.
02:58Even the children were part of the constitution, family constitution.
03:00The money is out of it.
03:18That is the foundation.
03:26I would say like, you know, the founders always worked 365 days in a year.
03:34Our generation probably we worked even probably two Sundays out of four Sundays.
03:39So with lot of commitment towards business.
03:41Of course, you know, with the third generation, the lifestyle is different today.
03:46You know, they want to experience life also.
03:48For us, business was life.
03:50You know, but now they want to see beyond everything.
03:52Because at the end of the day, you just have those 12 hours or 14 hours to work, not beyond
03:57that.
03:58And then I realized, you know, because you always felt that you are the best and only you can do
04:04it and all that.
04:05One day, my father-in-law even asked me, what about the company since you?
04:10You know, have you planned for that?
04:12So he would keep saying that.
04:14So then we were into a crisis due to some external forces and that is when we showed the most
04:22resilience.
04:24So that is why I think you start thinking out of the box.
04:29And I could recruit a CEO, a COO, brought in about four to five started accountants and next bankers because
04:39I run the financial institution.
04:41And believe me, it has helped us to sterilize and today I am confident that the company can probably run
04:48without me.
04:49That's it.
05:14You
