00:27Mankind today is more prosperous than it was ever in its history.
00:30So all those things have changed.
00:32But internally are you not still afraid?
00:34Are you still not greedy?
00:36I have everything in life and yet I am suffering.
00:40I am the richest man of the world with half a dozen kids or a dozen kids and yet I

00:47Now that's a truly adhyatmic problem.
00:50That's what the Upanishads seek to address.
00:54Look at the problem of bacterial infection for example.
00:58Has not time solved that problem?
01:00What do you have today?
01:02Antibiotics.
01:04So that's not a problem the Upanishads will get into.
01:07Because that's a problem that time itself will solve.
01:09That's a problem that arises in time and time is sufficient to take care of that problem.
01:13The problem of life expectancy.
01:16The problem even of interplanetary travel.
01:20Time solves such problems.
01:22The Upanishads are dealing in a very peculiar problem that time alone cannot address.
01:27And that is the problem of fundamental human suffering.
01:30Suffering without a cause.
01:31For all of us.
01:34The Upanishads are dealing with other animals.
