00:14After the meeting, Muhyiddin said in a statement that he acted in good faith when axing Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin
00:21and 16 other members.

00:29Muhyiddin claimed that he had endured his deputy for many years and despite attempts to unite the party, the opposition
00:36leader continuously sabotaged the party with the aim of dividing it.
00:41The former prime minister said that he felt unappreciated as he had recommended Hamzah to the deputy president post, despite
00:48knowing that Hamzah was opposed to him.
00:50He said, before taking disciplinary action against the group, efforts were made to seek common ground and save the party
00:58through meetings and discussions, but certain individuals continuously carried out acts of sabotage against the party with the aim of
01:06dividing it.
01:07He said, as the party president and founder, he has a responsibility to ensure that the party remains strong and
01:15stays on the course of its struggle.
01:17The Supreme Council members who attended the meeting later told reporters that party members would need to understand that such
01:26disciplinary actions were part and parcel of the growth of the party after nine years of its establishment.
