00:00It might be freezing in New York, but at the culture of bathing, things are just heating up.
00:04The largest sauna village ever staged in the U.S. officially opened its doors today,
00:08inviting New Yorkers to hit pause and partake in one of humanity's oldest wellness rituals.
00:13At Domino Park in Williamsburg, you'll find 15 architecturally distinct saunas to explore,
00:18from an intimate Airstream trailer to a massive 70-person space.
00:22Each is set to a different temperature so you can find your perfect level of heat.
00:25And it's not just saunas. There's a stacked lineup of cultural programming,
00:29live performances, author talks, and workshops that guests can participate in.
00:33In one sauna, you might find guided meditation and breath work.
00:37In another, you might catch an off-gust ritual, where sauna masters toss ice infused with essential
00:42oils onto hot stones, then fan the steam over the sweaty guests with rhythmic towel movements.
00:48Culture of Bathing runs from February 12th to March 1st and is open from 7am to 10pm daily.
00:53Tickets range from $60 to $125 plus taxes and fees depending on the time slot,
00:58with each giving you two hours to explore. I had a blast checking it out,
01:02and after three hours bouncing between the saunas, I had the best night's sleep in months.
