00:00If you look at this from the Iranian perspective, which I know people often don't in the West, it's very
00:06simple.
00:06As you mentioned there, Steve, they're going to look at it from their national interest.
00:10And the prism of their national interest dictates, does it not, that they would be utterly insane to be giving
00:15up ballistic missiles.
00:16They would be utterly insane when they have such jingoistic neighbours that openly talk day in, day out, obsessively about
00:25bombing them, about regime change.
00:27Why on earth would they want to give up any weapons? No regime on earth would. No country on earth
00:32would, according to any rational principles.
00:35We all know that. We're not allowed to say it sometimes because the people are our official enemies or they're
00:40not our allies.
00:41But we all know it on this call. They would be insane if they gave up their weapons and they
00:45would be insane, frankly.
00:47And listen, I want to live in a nuclear free world, but let's be realistic about this.
00:52Regimes with nuclear weapons survive. Regimes without nuclear weapons, they get toppled.
00:57Look at Saddam. You know, that's just a reality. And so what your militarism, by your I mean Israel's militarism
01:06of violence and jingoism and constant war addiction in the region.
01:10What it means is that the signal is given to other regimes and other world leaders very, very clearly.
01:20If you don't develop nuclear weapons, you could be in the firing line.
01:25You could be in the sniper line next.
01:29And why would anybody with half a brain cell want that?
01:33I want to make something really clear.
01:35Israel is not looking to overthrow or change the Iranian regime.
01:42It is not our business to do it.
01:45It is not. And it's not something that has been declared as a goal.
01:49It is for the Iranians' desire.
01:51The regime simply poses a threat.
01:57It simply has decided that its goal is to eradicate Israel.
02:03And this is why it has been seen as an existential threat.
02:08Because if you combine this extremist view with nuclear power and ballistic missiles,
02:13this poses a threat on Israel's national interest.
02:17Beyond that, beyond supporting the Iranian regime in their struggles,
02:24it's not something that is our business.
