Visitors say poor drainage leaves plots submerged and mud-covered. Local families are urging council action.

00:00Parts of a cemetery in North Walsall have flooded again, leaving graves submerged and
00:05visitors struggling to pay their respects. The site has a long-standing drainage problem,
00:11despite more than £260,000 spent by Walsall Council in 2020. Diane Wilson
00:18said she could not lay flowers at her mother's plot without sinking into thick mud. Angela
00:24Meeson described other graves being underwater. Both say the flooding has made it impossible to sit
00:31and spend time at family plots. Families are calling for action and want the council to address
00:37long-standing issues, saying fees should reflect the persistent flooding and poor drainage at the
00:43cemetery.
