In this Paper-cut style animation, the story follows Nils, a mischievous young boy who is magically shrunken to the size of a tomte (gnome) as punishment for his misdeeds. Now able to communicate with animals, Nils joins a flock of wild geese led by Akka on their annual migration across Sweden. During his journey, Nils learns valuable lessons about nature, empathy, and responsibility. He befriends many animals and encounters various challenges, transforming from a selfish boy into a kind and considerate individual.
