00:00When I was first on the team, I wasn't fully funded at that time, the development team wasn't funded.
00:07And she found out one year when we were training in New Zealand, I was technically on the World Cup speed team,
00:12and we were training and she found out that I was paying for part of my season.
00:16And she really took it upon herself to help support me.
00:20She helped by, I became an ambassador to her foundation and I put her logo, her Lindsey Vonn Foundation, on my helmet
00:28and did a couple events with her and just felt honored that she wanted to support me on the hill and off the hill.
00:36She just became a great friend and role model.
00:38And I think that is super cool, just the female empowerment that she embodies.
00:44And I didn't just stop there.
00:46Over the years, we went through a lot together.
00:49When I got hurt in 2018, she let me rehab at her house while I had missed the Olympics.
00:55So in 2018, I remember watching her compete in Pyeongchang, and I was sitting on her couch after surgery.
01:03And yeah, it was pretty special that she wanted to help me so much.
01:09And she's been through a lot and she knew what I was going through.
01:13So she's a lifelong friend.
01:15I'm super grateful that she's been a part of my life for so long.
