00:00After today's brainstorming and the third Legislative Executive Development Action Council
00:04all agreed to prioritize 21 bills they feel will help greatly in alleviating the burden of dealing
00:11with the high cost of living. And the President made himself clear to the lawmakers in the
00:16LEDAC session he wants the bills passed by the end of June this year.
00:23President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. has approved several proposed measures aimed at further
00:28easing the cost of living of Filipinos. This was during the third Legislative Executive
00:33Development Advisory Council or LEDAC full meeting. A total of 21 priority measures were
00:38approved by the chief executive which the President has asked Congress to act on and
00:43targeted to be passed before the end of June. According to Malacanang, these measures are
00:48intended to ease the burden of citizens, strengthen transparency, and further promote accountability.

01:16or exploitation of children and anti-child sexual abuse or exploitation materials act of 2026.

01:36Regarding the plan to abolish the travel tax, Malacanang said this will benefit Filipinos
01:40traveling abroad not only for leisure but also for work and emergency cases. Although revenues
01:46collected from the travel tax are used for infrastructure and education, Malacanang assured that funding
01:52for these sectors will not be disrupted.
01:54Malacanang also emphasized the President's intent to prioritize an anti-political dynasty measure
02:11with both the Senate and the House of Representatives currently conducting public consultation on the
02:17matter. The President also reiterated the importance of passing the citizen access and disclosure of
02:22expenditures for National Accountability or CADENA Act, the Partylist System Reform Act, and the
02:28Independent People's Commission Act.
