Imagine one of the most notorious men of the 21st century…standing over one of the holiest objects in Islam. This image alone has stunned people around the world.

In the newly unsealed U.S. Department of Justice documents released in early 2026, a deeply controversial detail has emerged: Jeffrey Epstein received pieces of the Kiswa — the sacred black-and-gold cloth that covers the Kaaba in Mecca.

The Kiswa isn’t just fabric. It covers the Kaaba — the direction Muslims face every day in prayer. Each year, it’s replaced before Hajj, and the old cloth is cut into fragments and given only to highly trusted institutions or dignitaries.
Many Muslims believe it carries the prayers, tears, and hopes of millions of pilgrims.

But according to emails and shipping records, three pieces of the Kiswa were sent to Epstein in 2017 — including a section from the inside of the Kaaba. The shipment was routed from Saudi Arabia to the U.S., coordinated by Epstein’s associates, and labeled as artwork for customs.

00:24in Islam. This image alone has stunned people around the world. In the newly unsealed U.S. Department
00:32of Justice documents released in early 2026, a deeply controversial detail has emerged.
00:39Jeffrey Epstein received pieces of the kiswah, the sacred black and gold cloth that covers the
00:46Kaaba in Mecca. The kiswah isn't just fabric, it covers the Kaaba, the direction Muslims face
00:53every day in prayer. Each year it's replaced before Hajj, and the old cloth is cut into fragments
01:00and given only to highly trusted institutions or dignitaries. Many Muslims believe it carries the
01:07prayers, tears, and hopes of millions of pilgrims. But according to emails and shipping records,
01:14three pieces of the kiswah were sent to Epstein in 2017, including a section from the inside of
01:21the Kaaba. The shipment was routed from Saudi Arabia to the U.S., coordinated by Epstein's associates,
01:28and labeled as artwork for customs. One photo from the files has fueled outrage online. It appears to
01:36show Epstein and another man examining a large black and gold embroidered cloth laid out on the floor.
01:42To many viewers, especially Muslims, the image is disturbing, even painful. Social media erupted.
01:50People asked, how did something this sacred reach someone already convicted of sex crimes?
01:56Was it treated with respect or casually handled like decor? Some called it a desecration.
02:03Others called it a betrayal of trust. There's no official evidence showing the cloth was misused,
02:09only that it was shipped, received, and examined. Saudi and UAE authorities have not issued public
02:16statements as of now, but the silence has only deepened the controversy. This isn't just another
02:23Epstein headline. It's about power, access, and how sacred things can end up in the wrong hands.
02:30For many, the image of Epstein with the kiswah symbolizes something far bigger than one man.
02:36A sacred cloth, a disgraced billionaire, and questions that still have no answers.
