How climate change affects animals
Climate change is deeply affecting animals across the planet. Polar bears are losing the sea ice they depend on to hunt and survive. As the ice melts, they must travel farther, risking starvation and drowning. In our oceans, rising temperatures are causing coral reefs to bleach and die. Once-vibrant reefs are turning white, destroying homes for thousands of species. On land, migratory birds are arriving too late for the food they rely on. Changing seasons are disrupting nature’s long-standing rhythms. Sea turtles are also at risk as warmer sand produces mostly female hatchlings. This imbalance threatens their ability to reproduce and survive. From the Arctic to the oceans, animals are sending us a warning.
Their struggle reflects the growing health crisis of our planet. Understanding their stories can inspire us to take action. Protecting wildlife means protecting Earth and our shared future.
