00:00Let's the 50th Hunger Games begin!
00:04Welcome to Ms. Mojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the long-awaited sequels
00:09that are finally dropping in 2026, and the ones we didn't ask for and probably don't really need.
00:15Just in case anything changes, please remember that these are slated release dates as we know them today.
00:20But as we all know, things can change.
00:23It must be lovely to be making something that people are so happy about.
00:26They are so excited about it. It is incredibly sweet.
00:30The Scary Movie franchise just seems to age like a fine cheese.
00:40And this particular one promises to hold everything we loved about that original flavor.
00:44Now we get to come back to it and, you know, and bring them jokes and bring that funny and bring that Wayans flavor.
00:51We need a big, juicy comedy in theaters. People need to laugh.
00:57Scary Movie 6 feels like a true return to form.
00:59Especially with the Wayans brothers back writing, and some of the OG cast like Anna Faris and Regina Hall together again.
01:05You know, obviously the biggest thing is that everyone's gonna be back.
01:10Horror has changed a lot since the early 2000s, which means fresh material and smarter targets.
01:15Parodies of Get Out, Nope, and other modern hits feel inevitable.
01:19If you love horror but prefer to laugh through the fear,
01:22this may just be the movie event of the year for you.
01:24We're having a wonderful conversation within a movie, within a parody.
01:30We have to send up a culture.
01:31Number 5.
01:32Don't Need.
01:33Jackass 5.
01:34Release date, June 26, 2026.
01:37Jackass Forever somehow managed to feel nostalgic, funny, and strangely heartfelt,
01:42which made it the perfect place to stop.
01:44I've been watching Jackass since I was like 12 years old, 10 years old.
01:49That's definitely a big impact on life, and guess what? We're here.
01:52It felt like a curtain call, a thank you, and a clean exit.
01:56Jackass 5 seemingly undercuts that feeling by refusing to let the franchise rest.
02:00There will always be an audience for reckless stunts, but the shock factor has worn thin over the years.
02:05Is the whole gang coming back?
02:07Yeah, we got everybody coming back.
02:12And we're not writing the smartest ideas ever, either.
02:15Especially now, when similar chaos lives all over social media for free.
02:20Watching aging bodies take harder hits stops being funny and starts feeling exhausting and old.
02:25At this point, it just feels like hanging around after the party ended and everyone already grabbed their coats.
02:30You take kind of the role of, like, the responsible adult in these situations.
02:34Oh, what? No, on the set? No, on the set, I'm not.
02:38I, like, I'm just trying to annihilate them.
02:41Number 4. Excited for The Legend of Aang, The Last Airbender.
02:45Release date, October 9th, 2026.
02:48Our excitement for this one is sky high because it officially brings back the original gang,
02:53now grown into young adults.
02:55What are you doing here, Aang? I told you, I have this under control.
02:59For everyone who grew up with the 2005 series, this feels like reconnecting with old friends.
03:04After some behind-the-scenes bumps, original creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Brian Konitzko are involved again,
03:10which certainly instills us with confidence.
03:13Aang, you don't have to do this alone.
03:16Yeah, if we all fight the Fire Lord together, we got a shot at taking him down.
03:20All right! Team Avatar is back!
03:23The film will also get some real visual upgrades thanks to a feature budget and Studio Mir.
03:27Story-wise, Aang and company chase an ancient power that could prevent total extinction,
03:32assuming chaos does not beat them there first.
03:35Honestly, we can't wait.
03:36The years of fighting has left the world scarred and divided.
03:40But with the Avatar's help, we can get it back on the right path
03:44and begin a new era of love and peace.
03:48Number 4. Don't Need
03:50Untitled Jumanji Movie
03:51Release Date, December 11th, 2026
03:54Oh, come on.
03:55Exactly how many lives does this franchise have left?
03:58Because it really feels like it should already be game over.
04:01What happens if we use up all our lives?
04:05Well, usually that would mean...
04:08Game over.
04:10We mean game over.
04:12We don't know much yet, but history tells us exactly how this plays out.
04:15A group gets sucked into the game,
04:17jokes are made about avatars,
04:19obstacles appear,
04:20lessons are learned,
04:21and everyone escapes.
04:23That formula worked the first time and was refreshed decently in recent entries,
04:27but repetition eventually catches up.
04:29The cast returning is nice, but familiarity only goes so far.
04:32This isn't happening.
04:33Pardon me?
04:34Who are you?
04:35You're Spencer's grandfather.
04:37Yeah, no kidding.
04:39And you are Milo.
04:41I certainly am.
04:42I'm Martha.
04:43Hopefully this truly is the final film.
04:46Sometimes the smartest move is saving your progress
04:49and shutting the console off for good.
04:51One thing.
04:52Can we all agree?
04:54Let's never go back there.
04:56I thought we already agreed on that.
04:57Number three.
04:58Excited for.
04:59The Hunger Games.
05:00Sunrise on the Reaping.
05:02Release date.
05:02November 20th, 2026.
05:05Prequels have been thriving lately,
05:07and The Hunger Games revisiting Panem
05:09feels like the right kind of step backward.
05:11Welcome Panem
05:13to the glorious re-reag of District 12.
05:18This one focuses on Hamish Abernathy
05:20and the brutal 50th games that shaped him.
05:23That alone adds emotional weight,
05:25but doubling the tributes instantly raises the stakes.
05:28This story delves into how he became the person we know,
05:31hopefully without rewriting what already worked.
05:33Twice the number of tributes.
05:40Twice the glory.
05:42Suzanne Collins' involvement again is reassuring,
05:44especially for book fans who care deeply about the lore.
05:47We expect heavy themes that feel more timely than ever, too.
05:51Announced appearances from Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson
05:54only add to our excitement.
05:55Candace, let me come with you, okay?
05:57I can be a good distraction.
05:59They know my thing.
06:00No, I'm not losing you again.
06:01Number three.
06:02Don't Need.
06:02Avengers Doomsday.
06:04Release date, December 18th, 2026.
06:07We'd say this cinematic universe already had its Doomsday sometime after Endgame
06:11when content saturation ramped up and quality noticeably dipped.
06:14It's tricky, dangerous.
06:15Somebody could have cautioned you against it.
06:17Part of that came from the struggle to make newer characters connect
06:20the way Captain America, Thor, or Iron Man once did.
06:23Set about a year and a half after Thunderbolts,
06:26the film unites multiple franchises against Doctor Doom.
06:29It brings back familiar faces, introduces new ones,
06:32and bizarrely recasts Robert Downey Jr.
06:34Because Marvel never fully integrated these heroes,
06:37Doomsday feels less like an organic assembly and more like a crowded roll call,
06:41with newcomers stuck in old shadows.
06:50Narratively, it feels unearned.
06:53That being said, we are very excited for Spider-Man Brand New Day.
06:56We've got some familiar faces on set.
06:59Oh, good evening.
07:00You know, I'm just gonna do my best, hopefully get it right.
07:03No pressure.
07:04Number 2
07:05Excited for Practical Magic 2
07:07Release date, September 18th, 2026.
07:10To think, it's almost been 30 years since we first met the Owens.
07:14Yep, that's right, I'm back.
07:16Woo!
07:17Hang on to your husband's girls.
07:20Now, Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman,
07:22Stocker Channing, and Diane Wiest are all back.
07:24Our leading ladies' chemistry was the heartbeat of the original 1998 film,
07:28and seeing them reunited now feels like a dream.
07:31The first film is the kind of cozy that defines fall while still bringing plenty of drama and whimsy.
07:36So, anyway, I picked her up and I drove her right back here,
07:40and we would be so happy to give him back his car because it is a crime,
07:45and as you say, you just don't know where he is.
07:51Alice Hoffman loyalists will be thrilled to know the sequel is based on her 2021 novel,
07:56The Book of Magic, with original screenplay co-writer Akiva Goldsman returning
08:00to ensure the story keeps us under its spell.
08:02We are so ready for another round of Midnight Margaritas.
08:14Number 2
08:14Don't Need
08:14Toy Story 5
08:16Release date, June 19th, 2026.
08:18How many times does Pixar want us to say goodbye to our favorite saddle of toys?
08:22Now, you gotta promise to take good care of these guys.
08:27They mean a lot to me.
08:31Toy Story 4 did such a perfect job of wrapping things up that we truly felt ready to part from Woody and the gang.
08:36Since he joined Bo Peep and became a lost toy,
08:39Jessie stepped into leadership with Buzz by her side.
08:42Now, in a plot that already feels several years outdated,
08:45the old school toys meet their match in Bonnie's new favorite,
08:47a frog-shaped tablet called Lilypad.
09:00There's also the fact that Toy Story has twice taught us the importance of moving on,
09:04and yet it still doesn't seem to know when it's time to let go.
09:06He's not lost.
09:09Not anymore.
09:12To infinity and beyond.
09:16Before we unveil our top picks,
09:18here are some honorable mentions.
09:20Excited for Enola Holmes 3
09:22Release date, Summer 2026
09:25Even in Malta, mystery follows this young detective.
09:28This year, you will question everything.
09:31Everything?
09:32Don't Need
09:33The Strangers Chapter 3
09:34Release date, February 6th, 2026
09:37Can we still even call them strangers at this point?
09:42See you soon?
09:46Excited for Dune Part 3
09:48Release date, December 18th, 2026
09:51We can't wait to see how this story keeps flipping the hero's journey on its head.
09:55Don't need to be a prophet to see what's ahead.
10:00Your path leads to war.
10:03You know that.
10:05Don't Need
10:05The Social Reckoning
10:07Release date, October 9th, 2026
10:09Aren't we living this?
10:11Do we really need a movie about it too?
10:13Are you alright?
10:14I need you.
10:15I'm here for you.
10:16No, I need the algorithm used to rank chess players.
10:19Are you okay?
10:20We're ranking girls.
10:23You need many other students.
10:24Yeah.
10:25You think this is such a good idea?
10:27Excited for
10:28Fokker in Law
10:29Release date, November 25th, 2026
10:32We're mostly intrigued how Ariana Grande fares in the Fokker Burns circle of trust.
10:37Can't really say too much about it yet, but Ariana is in it.
10:40She's amazing.
10:41What a brilliant comedic actress.

11:00Number 1
11:01Excited for
11:02The Devil Wears Prada 2
11:03Release date, May 1st, 2026
11:06We're sorry we moved at a glacial pace to get here.
11:09We know how that thrills you, but we promise you it's worth it.
11:15Miranda?
11:16Took you long enough?
11:18The sequel's rumored plot sounds like a delicious irony.
11:21Miranda Priestly is reportedly struggling to keep Runway relevant in the dying age of print media.
11:26To save her empire, she's forced to go head-to-head with her former assistant Emily Charlton,
11:31now a luxury fashion executive.
11:33If you get fired, that might jeopardize Paris for me,
11:36and if that happens, I will search every blimpies in the tri-state area until I track you there.
11:40She really should have taken Emily to Paris, huh?
11:42The iconic original cast is back, now joined by several high-profile new faces.
11:47Hype has been building since the cast was spotted filming in New York,
11:50and we cannot wait to see what this film does for office fashion.
11:53Alright, we'll turn this for you.
11:56And...
11:56A poncho.
11:58You'll take what I give you and you'll like it.
12:00Number 1.
12:01Don't Need.
12:02Minions 3.
12:03Mega Minions.
12:04Release date, July 1st, 2026.
12:07You might have thought,
12:07do we really need a Minions movie when the first one was announced?
12:11Years passed as the Minions forged their own civilization.
12:16They truly made a life for themselves.
12:19But something just wasn't right.
12:21The name alone never exactly screamed main character energy.
12:24Yet here we are, now somehow at a trilogy, still wondering how we got here.
12:29Yes, both previous films performed well at the box office,
12:32while the second movie also sparked a wild movie-going trend.
12:35Is this very unusual?
12:36I don't know if you guys saw this.
12:37No, I haven't seen this.
12:38Viral TikTok trend dubbed Gentle Minions.
12:41So there are these large groups of teens,
12:43they dress up in formal attire,
12:45they go see the movie,
12:46and some people say it's an ironic appreciation for the film,
12:49but it's still leaving a lot of people confused.
12:51Still, with their own unique language and brand of chaos,
12:54the Minions really only work in one formula.
12:57That's why they're great henchmen,
12:58but also why it's easy to get fatigued by their antics.
13:01Speaking of trilogies we do not need,
13:08how much angrier can those birds possibly get?
13:11Which 2026 release are you most excited about,
13:14and which one has you rolling your eyes?
13:16Let us know in the comments.
