00:00¿How far to the Epstein Files implicate European political elite?
00:07The US Department of Justice has released millions of documents
00:11related to the case of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
00:16Since then, a wave of online accusations about who is in the files
00:19has prompted thousands of misleading online posts.
00:23But being named in the files is not indicative of wrongdoing,
00:26such as these mentions of French President Emmanuel Macron,
00:30who has been accused online of doing business with Epstein.
00:33It is true that Macron's name appears 205 times in the files.
00:36But there is no evidence that he exchanged personal messages with Epstein.
00:40Online, a handful of documents suggest a closer link between Macron and Epstein.
00:45All these are all via third parties.
00:47Such as this email from 2018,
00:49where a redacted sender asked Epstein to help him come up with ideas.
00:53With the subject line, Macron, there are no more exchanges on this.
00:57In contrast, there are multiple exchanges between Epstein
01:00and Slovakia's then foreign minister, Miroslav Hacak.
01:04I would take the MI girl.
01:07You can have them both.
01:09I'm not possessive.
01:10They're all under 30, so probably too young for you.
01:14Regards from Kiev, just to confirm the girls here are as gorgeous as ever.
01:19These exchanges were sent in 2018,
01:22long after Epstein first pleaded guilty to soliciting sex from a minor in 2008.
01:27Lechak has since resigned from his position.
01:30He denies all wrongdoing and says his contact with Epstein was foolish,
01:33male egos in action.
01:35It's also important to note that while these files were linked to Epstein's case,
01:38the U.S. Department of Justice said there was not enough evidence
01:41to bring charges against the people named.
01:43Epstein's case is not even better.
01:50Well, let's go first.
01:50We'll see you next time.
