00:00There is so much talk of fake news and alternative facts and, I mean, we feel kind of left out,
00:07honestly.
00:08Yeah, I mean, we want to be able to make up stuff and make people go crazy, too.
00:13We're wrapping up February, which is known as Black History Month here in the United
00:16States, so we just wanted to, you know, reimagine some of our favorite historical moments and
00:22tell you what really happened.
00:25Rosa Parks' real name is actually Ronisha Parkett, and at the time, MLK was really pressed
00:36and frustrated because he already had Claudette Colvin and he had to push her to the side because
00:40of the whole Teen Mom thing, so he was just like, change your name to Rosa Parks, and that's
00:45why we know her as Rosa Parks.
00:47Harriet Tubman actually had an older sister named Henrietta Tubman, who, okay, was the
00:55inventor of the technologies that is now the railroad.
01:02And Harriet being the jealous younger sister that she was, oh, so you think you can just
01:06come and make a railroad?
01:08I'm going to make the underground railroad.
01:11And actually, she did not intend on freeing slaves, it was just a nice bonus.
01:18When Olympic medalist Tommy Smith and John Carlos were raising their fist, they were actually
01:23just doing it because they had just eaten, they were giving thanks, you know, to a really
01:27good meal, and everybody else made it political.
01:30It wasn't even that serious.
01:34Little known fact, George Washington Carver actually invented the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup,
01:41but because he was black, obviously they wouldn't give him his own candy, so they just gave it
01:47to a white dude named Reese.
01:49A lot of people don't really know this, but Beyoncé is actually called Queen Bee because
01:54she's actually from the monarchy of a small African nation off the Ivy Coast.
02:00Michael Jackson is more commonly known as the world's greatest entertainer, but did you know
02:06that he was also the first man on the moon?
02:10Think about it.
02:11Where did he learn the moonwalk?
02:13Stay woke.
02:16BET was actually T-E-B, tell everybody bye.
02:21And it was invented because, you know, people were just hanging out after church on Sundays,
02:26and we wanted to get people to go home and watch television, so that's why it was invented.
02:33The Three Musketeers, the critically acclaimed classic novel by Frenchman Alexandre Dumas, who
02:39was black, was actually originally titled Migos, but Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset do not have
02:50French translations.
02:51Well, that's it.
02:54We hope you learned something from all of our Alternative Black History Month facts.
02:58Which are not to be confused with falsehood or lies.
