00:00I think my favorite part about today's shoot was probably being fussed over that's never
00:15really happened before and it reminded me that I'm like still a normal person and I still like
00:21makeup and clothes and hair so that was fun I think my mom was and is probably the most important
00:31person if she hadn't passed away last year I probably would not have gone to protest like I
00:37wouldn't have had the bravery to go because I just kept thinking like what would she do if she was 25
00:42with no kids and I feel like she would be there and she wouldn't leave dealing with the spotlight
00:51is really hard because I'm kind of an introvert which I guess is why I work I do so well in the
00:57protest space because you can be aggressive you can be angry and you can be all these things that
01:03women aren't supposed to be it's hard dealing with all these different people and all of their
01:08different opinions especially dealing with the demographic of people that weren't really
01:13interested in what a young black woman had to say two years ago black girl magic is just oh you
01:23like can't replicate it and in this movement space it's just so many amazing black women all over the
01:29place I remember the first day I met Bree Newsome I like could have cried to me she represents like
01:36she's like a gift I feel and she's still very much her own person and I feel like she's very genuine and
01:44like I need that so badly and Brittany Packnett and Erica Totten like all these amazing people I've met I
01:50think they are just spectacular
