00:00Oh
00:27Yeah, I don't think there's anymore
00:30Oh, that's when he arrived to Venezuela.
00:33When he got status to come to the United States,
00:36he had this appointment already set for years out.
00:41And at this appointment, he was just supposed
00:42to bring in new records, marriage certificates,
00:47change of addresses, stuff like that.
00:49It was just a simple appointment.
00:51And we went into the ICE facility.
00:53I mean, the ICE offices, sorry.
00:56And that's where they detained him
00:58with no order of deportation.
01:04We go in, and I'm like, hey, this appointment
01:07says to bring in new paperwork.
01:08Here's the paperwork.
01:09He's like, I don't need that shit.
01:12And he was like, go sit down.
01:14He just told us to wait in the waiting room.
01:16And from there, that's when they called him out.
01:19And they're like, OK, we're just going
01:20to ask him some questions.
01:22They took him back.
01:23And I was probably waiting for about 20 minutes
01:26until they came back with his stuff
01:27and said he's not leaving.
01:29And I asked him, like, can you give me a reason?
01:31He's like, do you actually need a reason?
01:33I'm like, well, yeah, he's my husband.
01:35And that's when he was like, well, he's
01:37from Venezuela, first off.
01:40I was like, what does that have to do anything?
01:42He was like, here's where you can find him.
01:43He gave me a paper where he was going to be detained.
01:45And told me to get the fuck out, pretty much.
01:51Was that his dog?
01:51Yeah, it was his dog.
01:52No judge can give him the right for bond, so he would have
02:10to wait in there until he has his master hearing, which is so set
02:14back because there's so many people detained or to sign
02:17for voluntary departure there he just kind of lost hope.
02:25It was getting really bad in the facility, a lot of fights.
02:28He wasn't sleeping.
02:29They would put alarms on at random times that night.
02:32He would call me, and I was like, it's still on.
02:34He's like, yeah.
02:36He was just not getting any sleep.
02:37He's probably lost around 20 pounds when he got detained.
02:42So it was just best for his physical health and mental health
02:46to get out of there.
02:48It's nice because I know it's expensive also.
02:51Yeah.
02:51It's a lot more affordable there.
02:54So he had to self-deport to Venezuela
02:55because he has no citizenship in any other country.
02:58So they couldn't just throw him in a random country.
03:05And from there, he was released because he had no criminal record
03:08there or even here in the United States.
03:10So he was released.
03:12He went back to his mom's, stayed there for a little bit.
03:15And now he's in Colombia.
03:22We are showing up to the detention center
03:25where my husband was detained at.
03:33A lot of bad memories come up.
03:40We did everything that we could to get him out.
03:59It's sad because, of course, he's not, he got to leave this place,
04:04but not with me.
04:34I'm trying to step back to the hospital to get him out.
04:35I'm trying to keep them.
04:36I don't know.
04:36I was trying to do something.
04:37I'm trying to do something.
04:38I've got it even though.
04:38I don't know.
04:38We're supposed to have to do something.
04:39I'm trying to do something.
04:40We're supposed to do something.
04:40It's changing.
04:40I had to go back to Texas, I called and told me the same thing that I had to solve in Denver.
05:07But they didn't have me from there, and I never found a solution.
05:13And I said, well, let's wait because I have a job where I have to present myself.
05:18And that day when I went to present myself, what they did was to stop me.
05:24No, my wife asked me why they stopped me only because I was Venezuelan.
05:37Every day I was afraid of my security, because I committed a lot of things.
05:49I had to go to the bathroom and tell me that I was alert.
05:56So we didn't know that they could enter gangas, bandas,
06:06that they could commit any crime to pass it to a federal prison.
06:12For my life.
06:24And to have a more calmness with my wife.
06:28She could come here.
06:30And here at least we can return again our lives.
06:36And continue with our plans.
06:39We have to go back to the bathroom.
06:42We have to go back to the bathroom.
06:43We have to go back to the bathroom.
06:45We have to go back to the bathroom.
06:46This is what we need now.
06:51It's so bad.
06:53You're crazy.
06:55I think.
06:56You should take it.
06:58I want to go here.
