00:00Y'all's president is still out here tweeting foolishness.
00:08Just this morning he posted this,
00:10The NFL has all sorts of rules and regulations.
00:13The only way out for them is to set a rule that you cannot kneel during the national anthem.
00:18So Puerto Rico is without water and power and North Korea is ready to declare war at any moment,
00:24but you still attacking football players?
00:27And although many of you do support the players who kneel, some folks are side-eyeing those who choose to lock arms instead.
00:33Insecure star Amanda Seals tweeted,
00:35Locking arms is not taking a knee. Not protesting is co-signing.
00:39But Jackie Reed disagreed. She responded,
00:42Every protest won't look the same and that's okay.
00:45Let's check back in with our ear to the social streets, Kayla, to see what we're buzzing about.
00:51Okay.
00:52So we asked earlier, is locking arms a sufficient way for NFL players to protest police brutality and racism?
00:57Yes, for A, you can't tell people how to protest.
01:00Or no, they should show solidarity by joining.
01:03Hashtag take a knee.
01:04Okay, so surprisingly mixed.
01:06So a lot of people said no, that they should join, like, since solidarity is taking a knee.
01:11Ron L. Baldwin said,
01:13Anything less than a full knee is a cop-out.
01:15At This Is Irv, NFL players locking arms instead of kneeling seems wishy-washy.
01:19But Trina Spell says, A, yes, it is enough.
01:22Does it matter how they get the message out as long as they get the message out?
01:25How many folks were still standing last year when Collins started kneeling?
01:28Hashtag hypocrites.
01:29Now they want to tell folks how to protest.
01:31Wow.
01:32While you were doing your research, I was over on my phone and I saw two tweets that spoke to me.
01:37Jamila King says, Seeing all these NFL players kneel in unity is cool.
01:41What's not cool is Kaepernick has been denied work for 209 days and counting.
01:46And then another one that Simone D. Sanders retweeted and said from Trayvon Free,
01:51Attention people of Puerto Rico, if you would kindly stop what you're doing and take a knee,
01:55the president will finally notice you.
01:57So it's like all this conversation about, but there's major problems going on in the world.
02:04In a territory that's a U.S. territory, and this is what you're focused on.
02:08That's my issue.
02:09I'm with Trina.
02:10I don't think we should be picking.
02:11As long as everyone bands together, we get the message out.
02:13Yep.
02:14All right.
02:15So earlier we asked you in our viewer poll,
02:17Is locking arms a sufficient way for NFL players to protest police brutality and racism?
02:22Is it A, for yes, you can't tell people how they can protest?
02:26Or B, no, they should show solidarity in joining Take a Knee.
02:30And here's how you voted.
02:3355% of you guys said yes.
02:36You can't tell people how to protest, and I agree with you.
02:38But 45% of you said no.
02:40Showing solidarity by taking a knee.
02:42All right.
02:43All right.
02:44All right.
02:45Let's go.
