02:39or during the takeover, it's quite shocking how everywhere it is in people's conversations
02:50and the streets.
02:52As we've seen, eyewitnesses, like, it's a dangerous job just being an observer because
02:58both Renee Good and Alex Preddy were just observers to the scene.
03:03They didn't have anyone, they weren't detainees.
03:06They didn't have anyone that they knew, you know, they weren't protecting any specific
03:10person, they were protecting the community and trying to push ICE out in general.
03:18So yeah, it's a dangerous job.

04:15Um, so I think that's, that mentality, for whatever reason they have it, that's causing
04:22them to be extra scared and, and potentially the escalate, as we've seen with Alex Preddy

08:25On the 27th of January, the Polish deputy prime minister called on Elon Musk to stop Russian forces
08:40from using Starlink to target Ukrainian cities, accusing him of making money from war crimes.
08:46It followed the post by Sergiy Beskhenznov, a Ukrainian defense advisor, showing what he
08:51said was a Russian drone controlled via Starlink.
08:53The Institute for the Study of War confirmed that Russian forces were increasingly using
08:58Starlink satellite systems to extend the range of BM-35 strike drones.
09:03Starlink is a satellite internet network operated by Elon Musk's SpaceX that has been widely
09:08used in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion.
09:11It's used by the military to communicate and operate drones.
09:15It's also used by the government, civilians and hospitals.
09:18There have been reports of Russia using Starlink in the past.
09:22In 2024, Ukrainian units reported outages in their Starlink connections, sparking similar
09:28warnings.
09:29But there is no evidence to suggest that Starlink has any contracts or ties with Russia.
09:33So it's not that Elon Musk has been selling them directly, but they've been able to get
09:38hold of them through either secondary turn markets or through capture.
09:42They could have got them through other allies, supplying them from other places, whether that's
09:49coming from different places like UAE is one of those places, or Turkey or wherever else
09:57they'd be able to get them.
09:58Ukraine says it asked SpaceX to block Russian forces from using Starlink.
10:03Elon Musk later said on X that SpaceX had taken steps to stop what he called unauthorized use,
10:09adding that the measures appear to be effective.
