Watch this "Fan-Made Concept Trailer of Grey Hulk"

In this Grey Hulk concept trailer, Dwayne Johnson becomes something horrifically different than any Hulk you have ever seen before in the form of Joe Fixit - the cunning and morally ambiguous persona that occurs when gamma radiation is used to rewrite a man's DNA, rather than cause mindless rage. Johnson is playing Marcus Kane - a former special forces operative that was subjected to experimental serum by Dr. Samuel Kline played by Morgan Freeman. Dr. Kline was a brilliant scientist with an ethically challenged mind set. He believed that he could create controllable super-soldiers by causing transformations that were related to a person's intellect rather than anger.

Ben Affleck joins the cast as General Ross - the military commander who green lit the program and is now faced with containing his biggest blunder - the emergence of Marcus Kane's Grey Hulk - not as an unstoppable monster, but as a predator who has human intelligence amplified by superhuman strength. Therefore, he is infinitely more deadly than any rage monster.

From an art standpoint, the visuals are quite impressive with the Grey Hulk being depicted as leaner and more tactical than the traditional green version. The Grey Hulk moves through shadows like a predator as opposed to charging head-on into battle. There will be some intense action scenes depicting the Grey Hulk using the environment to its advantage; therefore, the Grey Hulk fights smarter as opposed to stronger, which creates a level of ambiguity as to whether Kane is a hero or anti-hero due to the fact that Kane's transformation has removed all moral boundaries from his thinking, while at the same time preserving his ability to think tactically. Freeman portrays Dr. Kline as a scientist that is wracked with guilt after realizing too late that taking away a person's rage does not produce heroes, but instead produces sociopaths with god-like abilities who view humans as obstacles as opposed to people they need to protect. Affleck's portrayal of General Ross illustrates how the military and it's pragmatic approach to solving problems is at odds with the moral implications of those actions. In essence, General Ross is struggling with the decision of whether or not stopping Kane would mean eliminating the potential for creating super soldiers that could win wars, or preventing the development of monsters who will attack their creators as soon as they are free.

As for the themes presented within the movie, the theme of "nature vs. nurture" is explored through the use of a superhero lens. In essence, the question is asked of whether removing anger from the equation of strength results in creating better warriors or simply producing predators that can kill efficiently, without having the burden of conscience stopping them.
