Lawrence Peter "Yogi" Berra, l'un des plus grands joueurs de baseball des Etats-Unis, s'est illustré comme receveur avec les Yankees de New York de 1946 à 1965 avant de devenir manager des Mets. Ce sportif au palmarès impressionnant était tout aussi connu pour ses exploits sur le terrain que pour ses nombreux aphorismes, rebaptisés des yogi-ismes.
