00:00Sound speaking.
00:01And left wing.
00:03Mark.
00:04And...
00:05Couch.
00:06The Sky Tower is a home built at 3,000 feet above the ground.
00:14This is almost like a station.
00:15It's almost like a military outpost.
00:17It's a living quarters, but it's also a working environment.
00:19It's a three-level home that's on this tiny little spindle.
00:22Obviously, that's not something you could build,
00:24but I felt like we could get close.
00:27Before the movie started principal photography,
00:29we went to Haleakala, a volcano in Maui.
00:32We set up three cameras that captured sky, clouds, sunrise, sunsets, stars.
00:38Then we took that footage and we front-projected it on a massive screen
00:43that surrounded the set.
00:44It gave the film a very epic feeling.
00:47If we were to do this blue screen, all that blue that you'd see outside the windows
00:50would spill into all these surfaces and all this glass,
00:53and that would be a virtual nightmare to have to paint out
00:56and deal with in visual effects.
00:57So the opportunity to get that stuff in camera
00:59was the critical design feature in this whole set.
01:01There is no blue screen.
01:02I mean, what you're seeing is the final product.
01:05And we're able to, you know, change the weather.
01:07It's sunset, and the next day is daylight,
01:09then we have night, and all the clouds are moving.
01:11It's all pretty amazing.
01:12And what that allowed us to do is to not only capture it in camera,
01:15but use the reflected light of that footage
01:17to actually light the sets and the actors.
01:19The lighting that you're getting on the actors' faces
01:21is the same type of light that you get in a sunset
01:23because it's literally footage of a sunset.
01:25You end up with an all-in-camera visual effect,
01:28and a visual quality that just can't be faked.
01:31And the actors really enjoy it, too,
01:33because they're actually in a place that has clouds surrounding them.
01:36It does help as an actor, not acting green screen.
01:40It's interactive, so you don't have to try to imagine something.
01:43You're there with the other actors. It felt very organic.
01:46Now that was take two. It's fantastic.
01:49This is an amazing piece of art.
01:51I want to stay here and live here. I want to move in.
01:54It was the most beautiful set I've ever shot on.
01:58It allows them to even kind of immerse themselves more deeply in the story
02:02because they're surrounded by it.
02:04So that's something I'm really excited about
02:06that we were able to do on this movie.
02:08with Begin Three Babys
02:14for a antiseptic Hey oni
02:15for самой Session
02:16by your people's最近
02:17being younger to help people
02:19in the interview.
02:21You really know that people
02:21just frequently remember
02:22how you're seeing here about
02:24how they're all right?
02:25And that's possible.
02:27I wonder if they have access to you all
02:27like a team,
02:29you get צ trips for money,
02:30you've got to be the things.
02:32And that's all I want to share...
