The Hubble Space Telescope has found evidence of a "wandering" black hole about 5000 light years away in the Milky Way galaxy. Astronomers estimate that there could be 100 million black holes wandering around our galaxy.

00:00Though an estimated 100 million black holes roam our Milky Way galaxy,
00:05these objects are invisible and so very difficult to detect.
00:10Astronomers now believe they may have precisely measured the mass of an isolated black hole.
00:15After six years of observations, NASA's Hubble Space Telescope
00:20found evidence for a lone black hole about 5,000 light years ago.

00:29Black holes roamed
00:30our galaxy are born from rare monstrous stars less than 1,000 years ago.
00:35The galaxy's stellar population that are many times more massive than our sun.
00:40These stars die in supernova explosions. Their cores crushed
00:45by the star's own gravity into a black hole.
00:48Because the detonation is asymmetrical,
00:50the black hole may get a kick, sending it careening through our galaxy.
00:55Hubble detected the magnified and deflected light from a star
01:00lined up exactly behind the potential black hole as its intense gravity warped
01:05space itself. The measurements indicate the black hole weighs
01:10seven solar masses and is traveling through space at 100,000 miles.
01:15But don't worry, there's a lot of space between Earth and Earth.
01:20and this roaming black hole.
01:25But there are no other things that are looking at.
01:26The marvel at the starling bay
01:30is the farthest part in a black hole.
01:31Unfortunately, there's no side of the stars of the sky.
01:32The galaxy's star-gazimac is the star-gazimac.
01:33This planet is global.
01:34And this planet is the illusion of space from the sky.
01:35As you know what?
01:36And the space is the sunrise?
01:37So you can see, at that point, that's the sky.
01:38The space is the sky.
01:39You can see, when you look past the sky and the sky.
01:40And as you are safe to the stars of the sky.
01:41You can see, you can see that grey-wax.
