00:00Meet the youngest snooker record holder the sport has ever seen.
00:06This is Jude Owens from the UK, a young snooker fan who's already showing an incredible natural ability.
00:15Jude first hit a snooker ball when he was two and a half, but recently I did find a video of him hitting a pool ball just before his second birthday.
00:25At just two years and 261 days old, Jude became the youngest person ever to make a snooker double pot in Manchester, United Kingdom, on the 1st of September, 2025.
00:41Yes, just two years old. Jude was introduced to snooker and pool by his dad, Luke, who gave him a mini snooker table to play on.
00:51And it quickly became clear that Jude had something special.
00:56After mastering the smaller table, he was introduced to full adult-sized tables and he adapted with ease, apart from needing a stool to reach the table.
01:08I'd like to think it's in the genes, but obviously Jude started a lot younger than me.
01:12I started playing when I was 10 and obviously Jude started playing when he was 2, but I'd say Jude's got a lot more natural ability than myself.
01:20Jude is already demonstrating techniques that many experienced players spend years developing, including floating bridge shots and potting using the rest.
01:32But Jude's development hasn't stopped there.
01:36On the 12th of October, 2025, at just two years and 302 days old, he became the youngest person ever to make a pool bank shot once again in Manchester.
01:48Jude's achieved quite a lot in such a short space of time, but for me to achieve not just one, but two world records, it's probably the pinnacle moment.
02:00Like, how do you even beat that in life?
02:02His talent has already earned special recognition.
02:05Jude was given a special walkout entrance at the 2025 UK Snooker Championship, and he is now the youngest known person ever to receive a snooker sponsorship.
02:19Recently, we had a trip to York and we met up with Kyron Wilson and John Parrott, and that was the first time they'd seen him in the flesh.
02:25And a few of his shots were really impressive, they said.
02:30He's also met Jimmy White.
02:33Jimmy White did a little video to say that he's a big fan, and he's looked at a lot of his videos and he's really impressed.
02:39Away from the table, Jude enjoys watching the Octonauts, supports Manchester United, and finishes his day with a 6.15pm bedtime.
02:48As a father, you'd always hope that your kids do well in life, so, you know, that would be the biggest aspiration, if you were to achieve that.
02:57Will he be a world champion? I mean, it would be a great story with all the evidence we've got going forward.
03:03From a mini table to major achievements, Jude Owens is showing just how powerful early passion and support can be.
03:12Remember the name.
03:14Who would win a snooker match? Me or you?
03:16Me.
03:17No, me.
03:18No, me.
03:19No, me.
03:20No, me.
