00:00Right, we have to start then on Celtic Rangers, if you like, but also just focus on Celtic because what's just happened today in the last few hours.
00:08Michael, I'll come to you first. We'd heard a lot what was happening behind the scenes.
00:13I think we all had the feeling this was going to happen sooner rather than later.
00:17But Wilford, Nancy, gone. All his coaching staff gone as well. Paul Tisdale to Michael. Was it inevitable?
00:23Absolutely. Well, I mean, look, if you think about football management, it's pretty much guaranteed that the manager will lose their job.
00:37I think, obviously, the big talking point is with Wilford, Nancy, was how quickly it was going to happen.
00:43And I remember prior to the Premier Sports Cup final, having seen his first two games against Hearts and Roma
00:52and just thinking, this Cup final has got so much more riding on it because if he goes three games, three defeats, loses the Cup final,
01:02I just thought it was only a matter of time from that point on.
01:06And so it's proven. And literally everything else that has unfolded from then has just been a disaster.
01:16I mean, in every sense of the word. Unrest in the changing room, backroom staff not happy,
01:22performances in the park, utterly abysmal, delusional post-match, pre-match, pressers, the whole lot.
01:32I mean, you'd be really hard to find someone who could do so much damage in such a short period of time.
01:48And I don't mean this lightly, by the way, but I honestly believe you could have picked any punter off the street
01:55and I don't think they would have done as badly as what Wilfried Nancy has done.
02:02Due, in part, to people off the street who know, to a certain extent, their limitations.
02:08They wouldn't change the system.
02:10They wouldn't go around, you know, making so many changes behind the scenes as well, by the way,
02:16that has clearly created an atmosphere of animosity, frustration and downright, you know, anger, I would suggest,
02:28which leads to six defeats in eight games.
02:30A punter off the street wouldn't have managed all that.
02:34No. Alan, where do we start on this then with you?
02:38Because I think you had also heard some stuff coming out, really, from Celtic, from players maybe not happy and everything else.
02:46The kind of rumours we all was here, but I think this time we all felt it was foundation
02:49because it looked that way on the park at times, too.
02:53The board were already under pressure before this appointment, by the way.
02:58The scrutiny they're going to be under now, given how spectacularly wrong this has gone,
03:02it's going to be immense, isn't it?
03:03Oh, absolutely.
03:04I mean, I just think we all work in this world of football and you start to hear things
03:10and is it rumours, is it people that are in there know a little bit more
03:14and you just hear what's kind of going on in the background
03:16and you know when players aren't happy, I'm not saying that they lost everybody,
03:20but when you're hearing certain things come out, I mean, they lost 18 goals, by the way,
03:25in those eight games, which is quite incredible for a Celtic team at any stage.
03:30So, for defensively not to work on your frailties or your patterns of play or anything like that
03:38is quite baffling for me.
03:41But look, Tinsdale's obviously gone as well.
03:44I thought he was right in there with choosing the manager.
03:48He's now gone.
03:50I think the next appointment's absolutely massive because, look,
03:53this title race is still on for a number of teams.
03:56And this is what we like to see in Scottish football, title races.
04:00So, that being said, they get the appointment right,
04:04they get somebody in who can settle everything down like Martin O'Neill did
04:08and they could be back in with a shout.
04:11But, I'm with Mikey, I mean, for somebody to be in for, what, 33 days
04:15and for this turmoil to turn out the way it did is quite incredible to see.
04:21And, look, you don't want to see anybody lose their job.
04:24I mean, you'd rather have maybe stayed in for a wee while and seen what happened.
04:27But, unfortunately, that cannot happen.
04:31So, look, I'm along with Mikey.
04:33It's quite incredible what's happened over those 33 days or whatever it was.
