00:00Dubai is officially cracking down on loud cars and the new noise radar systems are already
00:05catching drivers. These smart radars measure the sound level of vehicles in real time. If your car
00:09crosses roughly 95 decibels you risk getting flagged. That includes modified exhausts, loud
00:15music systems, unnecessary revving and aggressive late-night driving. And the penalties aren't small.
00:21Drivers can face fines starting at around 2000 dirhams plus black points in more serious cases.
00:26Especially with illegal modifications the penalty can go much higher and the vehicle can even be
00:32impounded. Residents have been reporting noise disturbances across several neighborhoods and
00:37authorities want to improve overall quality of life. The move is part of a city-wide push to make
00:42roads safer, calmer and more community friendly. So keep your exhausts legal, don't blast music through
00:48residential areas and avoid revving especially at night. If your car crosses the limit the cameras
00:55will definitely catch it.
