At least three killed in Russian strike on Odesa as Zelenskyy urges speedier diplomacy

A diplomatic push by the US to end the war has made some progress but has delivered no breakthrough on the key issue of what happens to Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory that Moscow is demanding.

00:00At least 22 people were injured in overnight Russian strikes targeting the southern Ukrainian port city of Odessa.
00:08Odessa's regional military administration said a barrage of drones struck residential buildings and a construction site in the early hours of Tuesday, causing damage.
00:18Of those injured, 14 suffered only minor wounds and were treated on site, while the others remained hospitalized.
00:25The attacks also reached Kharkiv in the northeast, where authorities say a number of settlements were struck with a combination of missiles and drones.
00:34Several people were injured in the strikes targeting residential buildings, houses, and energy infrastructure.
00:41Further inland, the city of Krivye Rhee, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's hometown, also came under shelling overnight into Tuesday.
00:49A nine-story apartment building was directly hit by Iranian-made Shahid drones, according to officials, damaging balconies and windows.
00:58Authorities say there were no casualties in those attacks, adding that 15 residents were evacuated from the affected area for their safety.
