00:00In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, peace be with you.
00:19Today on Australia Day we pray for unity among the Indian nation, for the prosperity of all and the common good of all,
00:26and for all to get to know the amazing love of our God through Jesus Christ.
00:31So we acknowledge our sins, we acknowledge God's compassion and love.
00:36Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy.
00:41May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and lead us into healing and life everlasting.
00:50Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace to people of good will.
00:54We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you.
00:58We give you thanks for your great glory.
01:01Lord God, Heavenly King, O God Almighty Father.
01:05Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son.
01:08Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us.
01:15You take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.
01:20You are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.
01:24For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
01:34Let us pray.
01:36Grant, we pray, O Lord our God, that on the cross, as the cross shines in our sunny skies, so may Christ bring light to our nation, to his people old and new, and by saving grace transform our lives through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the Holy Spirit, God, forever and ever. Amen.
01:59A reading from the prophet Isaiah.
02:02Once more there will be poured on us the Spirit from above.
02:07Then shall the wilderness be fertile land, and fertile land become forest.
02:13In the wilderness justice will come to life, and integrity in the fertile land.
02:19Integrity will bring peace, justice give lasting security.
02:25My people will live in a peaceful home, in safe houses, in quiet dwellings.
02:33The word of the Lord.
02:35Thanks be to God.
02:38The Lord speaks of peace to his people.
02:41The Lord speaks of peace to his people.
02:44Now we hear what the Lord God has to say, a voice that speaks of peace.
02:49His help is near for those who fear him, and his glory will dwell in our land.
02:55The Lord speaks of peace for his people.
02:58Mercy and faithfulness have met.
03:01Justice and peace have embraced.
03:04Faithfulness shall spring from the earth, and justice will come down from heaven.
03:09The Lord speaks of peace for his people.
03:12The Lord will make us prosper, and our earth shall yield his fruit.
03:17Justice shall march before him, and peace shall follow his steps.
03:22The Lord speaks of peace for his people.
03:25Second reading is from Corinthians.
03:28There is a variety of gifts, but always the same Spirit.
03:33There are all sorts of services to be done, but always to the same Lord.
03:37Working in all sorts of different ways in different people.
03:41It is the same God who is working in all of them.
03:44The particular way in which the Spirit is given to each person is for a good purpose.
03:50One may have the gift of preaching with wisdom, given them by the Spirit.
03:56Another may have the gift of preaching, instruction, given them by the Spirit.
04:02Another the gift of faith, given by the same Spirit.
04:07Another again the gift of healing, through this one Spirit.
04:12One the power of miracles.
04:14Another prophecy.
04:16Another the gift of recognizing spirits.
04:19Another the gift of tongues.
04:21And another the ability to interpret them.
04:24All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, who distributes different gifts to different people.
04:31Just as he chooses.
04:34The word of the Lord.
04:36Thanks be to God.
04:38Alleluia.
04:39Alleluia.
04:40Happy the peacemakers.
04:42They shall be called children of God.
04:44Alleluia.
04:48The Lord be with you.
04:50A reading from the Holy Gospel.
04:52Glory to you, O Lord.
04:54Seeing the cross, Jesus went up the hill.
05:00There he sat down and was joined by his disciples.
05:05Then he began to speak.
05:07This is what he taught them.
05:09How happy are the poor in spirit.
05:12This is the kingdom of heaven.
05:15Happy the gentle.
05:16They shall have the earth for the heritage.
05:19Happy those who mourn.
05:21They shall be comforted.
05:23Happy those who hunger and thirst for what is right.
05:26They shall be satisfied.
05:29Happy the merciful.
05:31They shall have mercy shown them.
05:33Happy the pure in heart.
05:35They shall see God.
05:37Happy the peacemakers.
05:39They shall be called sons and daughters of God.
05:42Happy those who are persecuted for the cause of right.
05:46This is the kingdom of heaven.
05:48Happy are you when people abuse you and persecute you.
05:52And speak all kinds of calumny against you on my account.
05:55Rejoice and be glad.
05:57For your reward will be great in heaven.
06:00The Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
06:04Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.
06:07Today, on Australia Day, we think of our nation and pray for unity, respect for all and peace for all.
06:16I know there are debates going on around on what is the most appropriate day for Australia Day.
06:22And that's important that people approach that whole question with respect, openness of mind and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
06:33In the meantime, today, we've got that focus on our nation.
06:38And we pray for our nation.
06:40That all we get to know the benefits of knowing Jesus Christ.
06:44That there will be unity and respect between the old Australians and the new Australians.
06:51The First Nations and the rest of us.
06:54That there be respect among all Australians for each other.
06:58We pray that there will be the rule of law and justice and the common good.
07:05And for each one of us to be guided by the Gospel in all of our undertakings.
07:13That our church be indeed a light for the nation.
07:17A servant of the Gospel.
07:20Proclaiming Jesus clearly and with love.
07:24Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation.
07:29For to your goodness we have this bread to offer.
07:32Which earth has given human hands it made.
07:34It will become for us the bread of life.
07:37Blessed be God forever.

07:53Blessed are You, Lord God of all creation.
07:56For to your goodness we have this wine to offer.
07:58Fruit of divine work of human hands it will become a spiritual drink.
08:03Blessed be God forever.
08:05Let us pray, brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, our Almighty Father.
08:21May the Lord accept the sacrifice from our hands for the praise and glory of God's name,
08:27for our good and the good of God's holy church.
08:30As we come before you with the fruits of the earth, standed by our hands, O Lord,
08:35we pray that these offerings may bring a blessing on our land and peace to all who dwell here.
08:41Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
08:44The Lord be with you.
08:46Lift up your hearts.
08:48Let us give thanks to the Lord our God, God's provident.
08:53It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father,
09:00Almighty and eternal God, and to praise, bless, and glorify your name through Christ our Lord.
09:10For from ancient times you've made this land a home for many peoples and became the rock of strength.
09:18When they were hungry, you gave them food.
09:20When thirsty, water give even in the desert.
09:24To all your providence has proclaimed the good news of Jesus Christ your Son,
09:29sent by you to be the Savior of all the world, who has brought peace by his sacrifice on the cross.
09:36And so we lift up our voices to you this day, and with the people you have made your own,
09:41from every race and tongue and every place and time, we join in the song of the angels in heaven,
09:48as in exultant praise we acclaim,
09:51Holy, Holy, Holy Lord, God of hosts,
09:55heaven and earth are full of your glory.
09:58Hosanna in the highest.
10:00Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
10:03Hosanna in the highest.
10:05You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
10:09Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray.
10:11By sending down your spirit upon them like the newfold,
10:15so that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
10:20At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion,
10:25he took bread, and giving thanks, broke it,
10:29and gave it to his disciples, saying,
10:32Take this, all of you, and eat of it,
10:34for this is my body which will be given up for you.
10:41In a similar way, when supper was ended,
10:46he took the chalice,
10:48and once more giving thanks,
10:50he gave it to his disciples, saying,
10:53Take this, all of you, and drink from it,
10:55for this is the chalice of my blood,
10:58the blood of the new and eternal covenant,
11:01which will be pulled out for you and for many
11:03for the forgiveness of sins.
11:06Do this in memory of me.
11:14The mystery of faith.
11:17We proclaim your death, O Lord,
11:19and profess your resurrection
11:20until you come again.
11:28Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
11:32we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
11:37giving thanks that you've held us worthy
11:40to be in your presence
11:42and minister to you.
11:44Humbly we pray
11:46that partaking of the body and blood of Christ
11:49we may be gathered into one
11:50by the Holy Spirit.
11:53Remember, Lord, your church
11:54spread throughout the world
11:55and bring her to the fullness of charity.
11:58Together with Leo, our Pope,
12:01me, your unworthy servant,
12:03all the clergy.
12:05Remember also our brothers and sisters
12:07who have fallen asleep
12:08in the hope of the resurrection
12:10and all who have died in your mercy.
12:13Welcome them into the light of your face.
12:16Have mercy on us all, we pray,
12:18that with the blessed Virgin Mary,
12:20Mother of God,
12:21as it Joseph has passed,
12:23with the blessed apostles
12:24and all the saints
12:26who have pleased you throughout the ages,
12:28we may, through your grace,
12:29merit to be coerced to eternal life
12:31and may praise and glorify you
12:34through your Son, Jesus Christ.
12:36Through him and with him
12:40and in him, O God, almighty Father,
12:43in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
12:45all glory and honor is yours
12:47forever and ever.
12:49Amen.
12:51At the Savior's command
12:53and formed by divine teaching,
12:55we dare to say,
12:56Our Father, who art in heaven,
12:59hallowed be thy name.
13:00Thy kingdom come,
13:02thy will be done on earth
13:04as it is in heaven.
13:06Give us this day our daily bread
13:08and forgive us our trespasses
13:10as we forgive those
13:12who trespass against us
13:13and lead us not into temptation,
13:16but deliver us from evil.
13:18Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
13:20from every evil.
13:21Graciously grant peace in our days
13:23that by the help of your mercy
13:25we may be always free from sin
13:27and safe from all distress
13:29as we await the blessed hope
13:31and the coming of our Savior,
13:33Jesus Christ.
13:34for the kingdom,
13:36the power,
13:37and the glory are yours
13:38now and forever.
13:41Lord Jesus Christ,
13:42who said to your apostles,
13:44Peace I leave you,
13:45my peace I give you.
13:47Look not on our sins,
13:48but on the faith of your church
13:49and graciously grant her peace
13:51and unity in accordance
13:53with your will,
13:54who live and reign forever and ever.
13:56Amen.
13:57The peace of our Lord Jesus Christ
13:59be with you always.
14:01Let us offer each other
14:02a sign of the peace of Jesus.
14:04Peace be with you all.
14:07Lamb of God,
14:08you take away the sins of the world.
14:11Have mercy on us.
14:13Lamb of God,
14:13you take away the sins of the world.

14:18Lamb of God,
14:19you take away the sins of the world.
14:21Grant us peace.
14:22Behold the Lamb of God,
14:37who takes away the sins of the world.
14:40Happy are those who are called
14:41to the supper of the Lamb.
14:43Lord, I am not worthy,
14:44you should enter under my roof,
14:46but only say the word
14:47that my soul shall be healed.
14:51My Jesus,
14:52I believe that you are present
14:54in the most blessed sacrament.
14:56I love you above all things
14:58and I desire to receive you
14:59into my soul.
15:01Since I cannot now receive you
15:03sacramentally,
15:04comely, spiritually,
15:05into my heart,
15:07I embrace you as if you were already there
15:09and unite myself wholly to you.
15:12Never permit me
15:13to be separated from you.
15:15Amen.
15:16May our partaking of this sacrificial meal,
15:20O Lord,
15:21grant us strength to walk together
15:22in the ways of justice
15:24and behold one day
15:25the new heavens and new earth.
15:28You prepare for us in Christ your Son,
15:32who lives and reigns forever and ever.
15:34Amen.
15:36The Lord be with you
15:37and may the peace and the blessing
15:39of the Father and of the Son
15:41and of the Holy Spirit come upon you
15:43and remain always with you.
