00:05and is from their 1986 debut album Night Songs. After recording demos in 1984 and 1985,
00:13the band caught Jon Bon Jovi's attention, who helped them sign with Mercury Records.
00:18During the difficult process of making their first album, Kiefer felt frustrated with the
00:23music industry and the lack of early success, and he also faced vocal chord issues later in his
00:28career. He wrote the song in his apartment as an expression of his desire to escape this frustration.
