03:00If nobody shows up after a while, we'll probably shut her down.
03:18I think it's supposed to get a lot colder later, so we're looking at like 4 or 5 o'clock.
03:25We might wrap it up and just see how it is tomorrow.
03:28I just wanted to kind of get out of the house anyway and check on the pipes and everything
03:47up here.
03:48But if we don't get anybody, it's no big deal.
03:50We'll just shut it down and try again tomorrow.
03:53As long as this doesn't last for 4 or 5 days, I don't think it's really going to be an issue,
04:15other than if the rain freezes, you know, snapping power lines and stuff like that, which is a
04:22lot worse than the last time the grid went down, because that's harder to repair than just taking
04:27stress off.
04:27There's nothing else to do.
04:38I always like to walk around when it's icy and get pictures.
04:42We watch movies and play video games.
04:56Nothing crazy.
04:57Just walking around the square.
04:59I like doing hikes like this whenever it's snowy.
05:24I love it.
05:28I love it.
05:30I love it.
05:31I love it.
05:31I love it.
05:31There are guys who don't get into it.
05:54You know, people in nursing homes, they've got to be staffed because no matter what the
06:23weather does, people are going to need help. You know, the medical staff is constantly going, it doesn't matter what's happening outside, that ball keeps spinning. And we figured, hey, we can just get together and help some people out. It started last year with one cell phone. We did close to a thousand rides with one cell phone, 12 Jeeps running three days. And so this year we jumped up. We've got seven dispatchers. We've got up to close to 30 Jeeps running the last couple of days. We'll run tomorrow.
07:23We're a nonprofit organization, basically out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Of course, there are Jeeps and we like to go off-road here, but the main thing is we're a group of people that come together for people around us. We'd like to take care of our community. This is where we live. This is where we go to work at.
08:23And it's like when you get a group of people together
08:25and everybody comes together on the same level of love,
08:29I mean, every one of us is different.
08:31We all just like these vehicles out here,
08:32different colors, different wheels, sizes, everything.
08:36Come together with the same common goal
08:38and you can get the job done when you do that.
08:53It's almost like the Dukes of Hazzard.
08:56It's exactly what you want.
09:02Everybody we've picked up has been extremely grateful.
09:06They tell us left and right, like, you know, thank you.
09:08I can't believe you guys do this.
09:09You know, how are you doing it for free?
09:10Why are you doing it for free?
09:12That's because we like to help.
09:14Everybody that we've given rides to have constantly said
09:16how appreciative they are of what we've done.
09:19And we're not doing it for the thanks.
09:21We're just doing it for making sure that people are in place
09:23to help those in need.
