00:00Apple TV has been firing out some great shows as of late, but there is one show which definitely
00:08deserves more attention from Apple's already impressive roster that Ben Stiller refers to
00:13as his magnum opus. Severance follows the character Mark, played brilliantly by Adam Scott,
00:19who leads a team of office workers at a mysterious biotechnology corporation,
00:24Lumen Industries. The twist here is that each worker has their memory separated from their
00:29work lives and their home lives in a medical procedure called Severance, and a conspiracy
00:34within the company slowly unravels through the show. In an interview with the Hollywood reporter
00:39Stiller, who directed six of the nine episodes from its first season, says of the Dan Erickson
00:44created show, quote, I read it and I thought it was just so unique in terms of its tone and it just
00:50jumped off the page to me. If you enjoy movies like Brazil and The Truman Show or video games like
00:55control all the Stanley parable, then don't be sleeping on Severance.
