00:00Troy's been bugging me about his final payment there on Lightning Creek and I
00:24got a hundred ounce of gold in a jar so I'm gonna go pay it to him right now and
00:29kind of get him off my back 44 year old Rick Ness is betting on himself he's
00:37purchasing his second gold mine Lightning Creek expanding his Kino Empire to 3,600
00:45acres of ground
00:48hey you try good good see ya what's going on yeah I brought you some gold you know
00:55I wasn't trying to jerk you around or nothing so there's a there's a hundred
00:57ounces in there no I'm assuming there's a hundred ounces in here I'll go away as
01:04soon as you oh yeah yeah I know I know I know yeah yeah no there's a hundred
01:08ounces in there yeah and you know with today's gold prices that's a chunk so
01:11yeah yeah it's looking good yeah this is the final payment you're on your way
01:14so you're off to the races so good luck all right good business as always okay
01:18that's good to have that off my back I always like paying off debts Lightning
01:22Creek we haven't made it we haven't made a payoff yet but I know we will it's it's
01:26an asset for the future and it's an option so it's a good day
01:33for now Rick's new claim is an insurance policy for the foreseeable future he's focusing his
01:42operation on Vegas Valley a spot that paid out nearly 800 ounces last year but his water license
01:50expires in just four months I just really got to hope that we had our $1,800 goal for running what's
01:58left of you know last year's stock pop I know there's a lot of gold there because we need a lot
02:02after I spent all that money good news though is that we got the Vegas Valley water license extended
02:07this year it came out of nowhere but but I'll take it you know right back where we want to be we know the
02:12goals there but at the end of the day it's only good till November so we really got to get as much
02:17gold out of out of Vegas Valley as we can because we don't don't know if we'll be able to come back
02:30got this bag is Alex soft pile it's probably 300 ounces in in this pay pile but we're burning through
02:37it pretty quick Rick's crew are running a leftover pay pile from last year and now have to get back on
02:45pay dirt at the bottom of the cut well I don't really want to shut monster red down now that
02:50we're getting the gold so I I'm gonna go down and talk to Bailey we just need to get to the bottom of
02:54Vegas Valley ASAP
03:06what's going on I don't know if you've seen the pay pile but it's going fast and I know it does a week max is
03:14what we've got to run through the plant you know and it might be might be only five or six days with
03:19the late start that we're getting it's pretty important that we keep that plan around so you
03:22know I know I hear that in the spring you did you know you did a good job at Lightning Creek you open
03:26that up quick and so I I need you to do the same thing right get back into Vegas Valley open her up
03:30and just do what you do is it realistic to think that you could get pay up there before that pile's gone
03:35I think we can do it build a new road yeah we should be able to for sure that's uh I mean that's
03:45that's what I want to hear if we need another road you work on that yeah okay got a week hey let's burn
03:52some teeth good man last year Rick's crew moved a mountain to open up Vegas Valley digging down a
04:03hundred and sixty feet they removed more than 1 million yards of dirt before they hit pay over
04:11winter Vegas Valley flooded Rick has drained the water but the road into the cut has washed
04:19away now to get back down to the pay layer Bailey must build a new 500-foot road down to the bottom of
04:27the cut and start pulling pay before monster red runs out of its stockpile to get the job done in a
04:38week Bailey needs all three of Rick's working rock trucks
04:44hey Ryan you got a copy you want to come over here and take a look at this rock truck it's uh it won't
05:02even turn over yep give me a couple I'll be over sounds good thanks all the lights turn on everything
05:13and you go to start it and don't even turn over all right Kai we'll do some tests on it we'll get it
05:17figured out thanks Ryan's here I'm gonna hop in this truck and while he's fixing that one so that we
05:25can keep the trucks they're on until Ryan can fix the problem Rick's down to just two rock trucks
05:44you know it's on me but it's on the rock truck drivers too they got to move the material just
05:49as quick as I got to you know load them
05:51oh for sake now what did you do
06:19well shut the truck off your hydraulic tank just fell off not a good day to be a rock truck after a
06:29second rock truck craps out Bailey's left with just one truck to build the road I'm just sitting here
06:38burning fuel his hopes of finishing the Vegas Valley Road before they run out of pay are getting slimmer by
06:46the hour dude that's bad yeah it's bad he's lucky those six bolts up there holding otherwise he
06:52would have just ran the tank over and it would have been bad here's your three bolts right here
06:56somehow every one of those sheared off I don't think it's driver abuse by any means I just think
07:05either these were coming loose and once one came loose the other started moving loose
07:11these are the original trucks I started with about seven years ago
07:16I don't see any damage tank's fine
07:20but I don't recommend we run it it's just another hit it's not good we got rock trucks down we got a
07:27hell of a lot of dirt to move out of Vegas Valley so hopefully right get it fixed quick and get back
07:32the business
07:38my goal this season I was going for about six and a half thousand ounces things are actually going really
07:58well we're really banging off the hours and we're really running the yardage never get a quite a few
08:04ounces of gold out of the ground midway through his season the king of the Klondike has already
08:11banked half his season target 11 million dollars worth of gold Indian River they get two boxes gone
08:21running 24 hours a day we are almost finished listing play out of the river cut so I need the corner cut
08:28to open up Tony's tearing through his Indian River claim which has delivered a thousand ounces more
08:36gold than this time last season to keep up momentum he's now opening the corner cut which he believes
08:44holds up to 20 million dollars worth of gold the corner cut in the Indian right now there's a big cut I
08:53don't think I've ever had one this big I'll bet you this thing is three full claims right now we're
09:00doing a lot of stripping and right now it takes too long to load a truck so we got to fix that up
09:06Tony's in a rush to get down to pay dirt because at the river cut his double wash plant setup is churning
09:15through pay at record speed if the river cut is done before he's pulling pay from the corner cut
09:21Tony will have to shut down the speed things up down there now we take the biggest accident we've got
09:29the 950 bring it to the Indian River and with a 950 it takes less than a minute to load a rock truck
09:37but the other ones it takes two bigger hole double production pretty simple there's just one problem
09:46the 950 is currently at Paradise Hill being used by son Mike's crew Michael D copy Michael D copy
09:56that 950 is a beautiful piece of equipment I'm actually very angry about this the 950 is a bulk
10:09hauler I was hoping to get loose in but that's not going to happen this is more wasted time Mike is
10:16whining because I steal all his equipment I need that excavator he's losing out on that one to hold
10:24the 950 40 miles from Paradise Hill to the Indian River Tony's crew need to first remove the boom and
10:32stick then load them along with the body onto two heavy-duty low boys now we're pulling the main stick
10:44pin out and then all the weights off that we'll be able to flip the boom up swing it around and pull the
10:51next piece gave her a good pull went out of alignment there a little bit hey no bucket don't do that just
11:12back up just ask you guys to get out of the way cuz it might break here stand back oh the excavators
11:26shifted a little bit and that pinched on the pin so I think the press might be the option for this so
11:35I'll hang this thing from my crane and I can pressure this up with the hydraulic pump and it's got quite
11:41a bit of force to help pull that pin out I'm gonna be irritated by it taken this long but nothing I can
11:50do to change that we've broken it loose there where it was pinched up so we're just gonna give it a try
12:05with the loader speed things up lift the boom out of its place set it down walk the 950 on a trailer
12:26and away it goes when Tony's around it definitely kicks everybody into gear it's uh you don't want
12:36to be standing around with your hands in your pockets when Tony's around here as I'm standing
12:41around my hands in my pockets looks like the boys did a good job now we'll load up the body put it on
12:48the rail and then down the road we go after losing 16 tons removing the stick and boom the 950s body
12:57still weighs 84 tons a regular trailer you just walk it on chain it down and away it goes this one you
13:04got a block up underneath the excavator and then lift up the trailer and then pray that it lifts up the
13:09hole high enough to drive it Darren is gonna take the mainframe and I'll take this one
13:18get the thing out of it Tony sets off first transporting the boom and stick
13:30Darren follows behind with the body of the 950
13:39got a little late but that's okay by the way to know what they say right well we'll get it there
13:50and then we'll put it together yeah let's go to work
14:09hey dad and be copy dad and be copy
14:19daddy copy dad and be copy
14:28Tony beats is hauling his 950 excavator from Paradise Hill to Indian River but 20 miles out
14:52he's lost contact with driver Darren
14:55sometimes you get higher up and you're a bit more of a straight line sometimes you get lucky
15:04that you can reach them
15:06I'll gotta have a look see what's happening
15:12hey Darren are you on that one Darren are you on that one
15:18I wonder if I should ask these people to drive me down the hill so I can have a look at what you got
15:29it's not gonna be an easy fix
15:36let's see what he's got
15:38it's a fancy suit
15:47if we stick out of bags on the needed is it gonna make a difference
15:53I don't think so still like probably 40,000 kgs on the back
16:00what I'm thinking of doing is
16:02let somebody just start walking
16:04Tony's only option walk the excavator which has a painfully slow top speed of 2.7 miles an hour
16:12the 20 miles to Indian River delaying his plan to get to pay in the corner cut
16:18start walking
16:21sometimes you just have no choice
16:39Tyson was gonna pull a stripping crew out of the bridge cut to come do fine tannings and I was like man just
16:45throw me in a hole and I'll buy you a couple shifts
16:49Parker Schnabel is back in the saddle
16:52with his eyes on a 10,000 ounce 35 million dollar prize
16:57I still enjoy getting in machinery but I just don't have the time to do it anymore
17:02my job has changed massively
17:06and it's important that I do what I think is the most critical issue at hand
17:12and it's just that the size the company is now it's that never is like oh I need to be in that piece of equipment doing that job
17:19midway through the season
17:22Parker is closing in on 5,000 ounces
17:25half his season goal
17:27the biggest issue that we're gonna have I think which is the only thing I'm really worried about
17:33is having enough sluicing capacity
17:36there's a lot of sluicing left to do
17:39for the first time ever
17:41Parker is running four wash plants
17:44Big Red
17:46Sluisifer
17:47and Bob at Dominion Creek
17:49while Roxanne works at Ken and Stewart's on the Indian River
17:53where Parker needs to produce 2,000 ounces
17:57a fifth of his season goal
18:00at the Indian River
18:02there's definitely
18:03you know
18:04a massive amount of dirt moving that needs to happen
18:08if we don't focus on that
18:10we don't meet the target
18:13Foreman Mitch Blaschke is away for the next two days
18:21so it's all on acting foreman Brennan Rouault
18:26to keep the gold rolling in at Indian River
18:31we're trying to get him a massive pay pile
18:33so that way we have time to take care of other things
18:36so the work does never stop
18:38so we gotta keep everything rolling down here as efficient as possible
18:45we just gotta keep this plant running
18:47we've got a lot of pay to chew through here
18:50and as long as we keep it going
18:52we'll all have nice happy bonuses at the end of the year
19:08why isn't that shaker deck going?
19:20you gotta be joking me
19:22jenny's on, breaker's on, nothing happens
19:26okay buddy, I'll get us some mechanics as quick as they can
19:28you gotta be joking me
19:30jenny's on, breaker's on, nothing happens
19:32okay buddy, I'll get us some mechanics as quick as they can
19:36I do not want to see that plant down
19:38um, we have way too much ground to get through here
19:40we need to be down here, making a pay pile
19:42You've got to be joking me.
19:44Jenny's on, breaker's on.
19:46Nothing happens.
19:48OK, buddy.
19:49I'll get us some mechanics as quick as I can.
19:56I do not want to see that plant down.
19:59We have way too much ground to get through here.
20:02They need to be down here making a pay pile.
20:06Brennan calls in father and son mechanics,
20:09Bill Horton, and Justin Dreesen to investigate the breakdown.
20:15The overload protection is shutting it down.
20:17Why? We're not sure yet.
20:19So we've got to just start testing wires
20:23and find out if there's an overload on a certain wire,
20:26a certain leg, lots to check.
20:32We went through all the wiring.
20:34We pulled a lot of the connections apart,
20:36put them back together.
20:38OK, Jess.
20:39Let's give her a whirl maybe.
20:40We'll put these covers back on
20:42and we'll try some dirt through it.
20:43OK.
20:44Ready?
20:45OK.
20:46Yep.
20:52Bill tests the flow of electricity,
20:55measured in amps,
20:56driving the shaker motor.
20:58Well, right now she's shaking,
20:59so the amperage is a little bit higher than we wanted.
21:04We're at 42, 43 range.
21:07We only really want to be at 35.
21:17Right now everything is running.
21:21I'm pretty happy right now,
21:22so I'm just hoping this happiness can last all day.
21:30Failed again.
21:35Is that water coming out of the bearing?
21:39I think we finally found the cause of the problem.
21:41OK, you're good, you're good, you're good.
21:46We have a hole right through.
21:48Dirt's been in there quite a while,
21:50so those bearings will be toast.
21:52Pull up and pull the shaft out.
21:54It's sick.
21:56Roxanne's shaker deck gets its rocking motion
22:00from a rotating shaft inside a metal cylinder
22:04with counterweights at each end.
22:07Bearings reduce friction as the shaft spins.
22:11Over time, a rock has worked its way under a guard plate,
22:15and after years of vibrating in the same spot,
22:19the rock has worn a hole into the cylinder,
22:21letting in water and dirt, partially seizing the bearings.
22:27To fix the problem, the bearings have to be removed.
22:31The shaft pulled out, the hole welded shut,
22:35the shaft reinserted, and new bearings fitted
22:40before it can be fired up and start sluicing again.
22:45Bill and Justin begin by removing the bearings.
22:48Let's see.
22:51Glad my knee wasn't under that.
22:53There's brass in the water.
22:56Oh, yeah, the bearings are done.
22:59You want to swing it out, and I'll wind it down.
23:02OK.
23:03OK, ready?
23:05Mm-hmm.
23:10The process is repeated on the other side.
23:14We got it.
23:15Next, they pull out the 2,000-pound shaft.
23:21You're going to pick now, so go ahead.
23:34There we go, buddy.
23:36We got a shaft out on the ground.
23:38Every hour, the plant is down.
23:39Parker is losing over $4,000 in gold production.
23:45We got a lot of work ahead of us right now,
23:48and we really don't have time for it.
23:50Any downtime is going to kill us right now, you know,
23:53and that's what scared me.
23:55Hopefully, we'll have it fixed, so when Mitch is back,
23:57we're running full kill.
23:59Downtime's the biggest killer this time of year.
24:01We're running what's left in a stockpile from last season.
24:18It's nice that we had that, but it's going to run out soon.
24:20Rick Ness is chasing a potential $1 million payout from a stockpile,
24:27while his crew race to get to pay at the bottom of Vegas Valley
24:33before it runs out.
24:35The linchpin in the plan?
24:37Rebuilding the road that descends 50 feet into the pit.
24:40I made a promise to Rick that I could do this road and try to get down here as quick as we can.
24:45I'm worried that we're not going to make it down on the pay,
24:47and, you know, they're going to run out of pay before I can get there.
24:50With just one rock truck at his disposal,
24:54Bailey's chances of getting the job done are slim.
24:58You know, right now, with no trucks, it's not helping us get down there.
25:02Now is crunch time, and we need to get moving.
25:05And I don't want to fail Rick.
25:06I just went to go start his truck and said everything powers up,
25:12but when he turns the ignition, he's got nothing.
25:14Mechanic Ryan has been struggling to get two downed trucks back up and running,
25:21and has finally made a breakthrough.
25:23Basically, what somebody's done here is they have spliced the igniter wires on the relay together.
25:32Basically, what that igniter wire does, it sends a signal down to the relay on the starter
25:37and tells the starter, hey, it's time to engage.
25:39It looks like somebody's put in a couple of splices, cut the wires off,
25:43and decided that was going to be an easy fix, so...
25:50What we'll do is fix their splice and see if it starts.
25:53No big deal.
25:54All good.
26:04Halfway there.
26:07We got the wire fixed.
26:09This truck fires up.
26:11Looks like we got our hands full at the next one, though.
26:13This tank right here is hydraulic and then brake fluid.
26:22The three mounting bolts right up top have completely sheared off.
26:26Years of abuse.
26:28The bolts, you know, little sit there and wear and wear and wear,
26:30and eventually you hit one good bump, and there's plenty of them out here,
26:34and now that tank is down.
26:35So, I'm gonna need to lift this up and press it in.
26:39Try to get my main spacers and bolts put in up here that connect to the frame.
26:43Once we get this up and in position, we're three bolts in.
26:48All the other equipment is way up on the hill, so...
26:51No need to bring more manpower down here.
26:54I'll just try to wing her.
26:56I'm the only mechanic on the crew.
26:58It's a lot of stress.
27:02What a brace.
27:03I think it might work.
27:06This one's it.
27:07Done.
27:09That's good.
27:10All right, that's it.
27:12Everything's bolted down.
27:13This truck's ready to hit back on that monster cut.
27:17Bailey, you got a copy?
27:18Yeah.
27:20Hey, man, good news.
27:21We got that hydraulic tank remounted up, so it's gonna be another truck in your rotation.
27:25Yeah, Ryan, that's great, man.
27:26I'll be able to finish this off a lot quicker now.
27:30All three trucks now back in the field.
27:34Bailey has a fighting chance of finishing the road before the stockpiled pay runs out.
27:39Hey, Rick, you got a copy?
27:50Copy, cop.
27:52Yeah, we're almost out of pay here.
27:56Is that all the pay that's left right there, that little pile?
27:59Probably five more buckets, not even.
28:00I was gonna hope you were hiding somewhere else or something.
28:02We're gonna make a decision here and figure out what the hell we're gonna do.
28:06We need some pay up here pretty soon, or we're gonna be shutting down the plant.
28:14Bailey, give us an update on what's going on down there.
28:19Well, this is gonna take a lot longer than expected, and the truck's being broken down.
28:25There's way too much work down here.
28:26That's great.
28:31That's it.
28:33Didn't make it.
28:35We didn't want to have to shut it down, but that's where we're at.
28:38We're out of pay right now.
28:42With only 190 ounces so far this year, Rick's forced to shut down while the crew continue to build the road.
28:51Hit the bypass.
28:52And pray the stockpile pays out big enough to keep it in business.
29:00Yeah, it's not a good feeling shutting down Monster Red this time of year, especially when we don't know when the next round of pay is coming.
29:05We've got a lot of work to do to get the 1,800 ounces, I'll tell you that.
29:08We need it today.
29:10We need it yesterday.
29:11At Indian River, Tony Beat's crew are in desperate need of the Monster 950.
29:14to help strip the corner cut.
29:15At Indian River, Tony Beat's crew are in desperate need of the Monster 950 to help strip the corner cut.
29:20We need it today.
29:21We need it yesterday.
29:22We need it today.
29:23We need it today.
29:24We need it yesterday.
29:25At Indian River, Tony Beat's crew are in desperate need of the Monster 950 to help strip the corner cut.
29:42It's been a long and slow journey to get this to the Indian River.
29:49Into his eighth hour driving the 950 to Indian River, after the low boy carrying it broke down, Tony's grandson, 18-year-old Egan.
30:00It's nice to be getting involved with it all.
30:03It's my fifth year, running equipment, can run, a little bit of everything, mostly excavator though.
30:13Morning Egan.
30:14Morning.
30:15How are you today?
30:16Good.
30:17Are you ready to go to work?
30:19Sure.
30:20Since the age of 13, Egan has learned the ropes running machinery under Tony's watch.
30:28If you like this kind of stuff, someday you might be a gold miner too.
30:32Is the youngest operator we got, and he's near the best operator on an excavator we have.
30:41It's kind of nice to see a third generation miner.
30:44That's something to be proud of, I think.
30:47Before he can deliver the 950 to Indian River, Egan has one final obstacle.
30:54Looks like we're catching up to Egan.
30:57So you made it, Egan?
31:00Yep.
31:01Long, slow drive.
31:04Anyway, creek is over there.
31:06Just drive right through it, and we'll see you in camp in a bit.
31:09What do you think?
31:10Yep.
31:11He does never cross the river.
31:20Don't stop.
31:21You gotta keep on going.
31:22Because otherwise you don't want to get stuck.
31:24Don't stop.
31:25Don't stop.
31:26You gotta keep on going.
31:27Because otherwise you don't want to get stuck.
31:37Don't stop.
31:38You gotta keep on going.
31:40Tony beats grandson Egan is almost done with his epic 10 hour journey to deliver the family's 950 excavator to the corner cut on the Indian River.
31:53We'll get in there eventually.
32:07Slow and steady.
32:08Let's go.
32:10As he does not.
32:11He can drive her up.
32:13He can drive her up.
32:14Keep her coming.
32:16The young fella did pretty damn good.
32:19Yeah, Egan, drive her up, Egan, drive her up.
32:26Keep her coming.
32:33The young fella did pretty damn good.
32:39That'll be good, Egan.
32:40Leave her right there, Egan.
32:41That'll be good.
32:43Good job.
32:44Took a while, huh?
32:46Yeah.
32:46The most boring job you probably had in a while.
32:49Yeah.
32:50Perfect.
32:51Let's go.
32:55Now, two days behind schedule, Tony needs the 950 reassembled and in the corner cut fast.
33:03It's here.
33:04Put the thing together, ready to go.
33:08Finally, the 950 arrived from Paradise Hill.
33:10Tony said to put it together as fast as possible because we had a lot of trouble to get it over here.
33:19This piece is just shy of 21,000 pounds.
33:31It's going in.
33:33Whoa.
33:37Just a tiny bit more.
33:39Whoa.
33:39That's good there.
33:41She is all the way home.
33:42Someday, everybody gets lucky, huh?
33:44Yeah.
33:47The boom is connected.
33:48So now we're going to connect the thing.
33:56Yeah.
33:57Just...
33:58Yeah, it's ready.
34:03Oh, yeah.
34:03Oh, yeah.
34:05Yeah.
34:05For the last step, Tony and Egan attach the 10-yard bucket.
34:18I'm six feet six, so you can see how big it is.
34:21Are you really six foot six, Lance?
34:23Not really, but that's what the girls like, isn't it?
34:27Well, the 950's got a 10-yard bucket on it, so this is our biggest one.
34:31Three buckets, so you've got a truck full.
34:36So Egan is a pretty good operation.
34:38Hold it right there.
34:39Put your boom down.
34:41Perfect, almost.
34:42Good.
34:42Hold it right there.
34:47Anyway, that bucket went down good, huh?
34:49Yeah.
34:49Preach the cake.
34:51Now I get a hooker in there.
34:52Bingo.
34:53Done.
34:55So the bucket is on.
34:57Take it in the cat, and then we'll just start loading some trucks with it.
35:01So let's see how many buckets it takes versus the 349.
35:08I mean, by the time I drop three buckets in this 40-ton truck, the truck is full.
35:13So you should be able to load this truck by how many a minute instead of two minutes to load the truck.
35:20Off you go.
35:21Done.
35:25Tony's race to open the corner cut is now in overdrive.
35:29That should speed things up.
35:32Now you're moving some dirt.
35:33Things have been going really good down here at Ken and Stewart's.
35:50You know, Parker has big goals for this season.
35:54There's just a lot of sluicing that's got to happen if we're going to get all this done in time.
35:58At Parker Schnabel's Indian River Claim, foreman Mitch Blaschke is back from a couple of days away.
36:08Why aren't we sluicing?
36:09Well, buddy, that's not the way we want to see a wash plant.
36:19It's not the way I wanted you to come back either.
36:21And I leave for two days to go see the family and come back, and you got a broken wash plant, buddy.
36:26I know.
36:27We just need to try and get everything set up the best we can, so once we start this thing, we can just get rolling.
36:32Why'd you break it?
36:34It wasn't me, buddy.
36:36How do you like it?
36:40We got our bearing housings all ready, and then hopefully they're going to drop right in.
36:44Having removed the shaft from Roxanne, mechanics Bill and Justin turned to fitting the new bearings into the housing.
36:53When they stick, it is a major catastrophe.
36:57But there's an issue.
36:58The bearings are about 1,000th of an inch larger than the housing and won't slide into place.
37:06Let's do this.
37:11It's going to be hot.
37:12To make them fit, Bill and Justin first freeze the bearings, shrinking them in size, before heating the housing to 450 degrees.
37:24You heat up your housing, which will make it expand, and then you cool your bearing, which will make it contract.
37:30In doing that, you can buy yourself enough space to drop this in.
37:34You've got about 15 to 20 seconds to try and get that bearing in before it starts to warm up.
37:42And expand.
37:43It is a one-shot deal.
37:45It's always stress, because a one-wrong move will cost us a $5,000 bearing.
37:52If this doesn't work, Roxanne could be out of action for weeks and cost Parker millions in lost gold.
38:01Yeah, we're almost there.
38:03Okay, I'll shut this one off.
38:04If you can keep that one going.
38:30There we go.
38:31There's one, little buddy.
38:37This one is successful, and that's how we like to do them.
38:42Now you can see it thawing.
38:45One more.
38:46Well, little buddy, it's a happy day.
39:06You can have your freezer back.
39:08Yeah, groceries are coming tomorrow.
39:10I hope so.
39:18Hell yeah.
39:21You know, out of all the years we've been doing this, this is probably one of the biggest breakdowns we've ever had on a wash plant.
39:25And, you know, it's taken a lot of time here to pull this thing apart, fix it, get it all back together.
39:31The bearing is seated safely.
39:36Tarps coming off.
39:38The big question is, how's she going to shake?
39:41She's all you.
39:42I get to do the honors?
39:44You can.
39:44There we go.
39:53Sounds good.
39:54Sounds good.
39:55Sounds nice and quiet.
39:57Now this wash plant is ready to go.
39:59The shaker deck looks great.
40:10The sluice runs are running really nice here.
40:12So I think Roxanne is back as good as new.
40:14And we got ourselves a manipulator.
40:17Time to get through it, turn it into some gold, make up for some lost time.
40:20After two days down and losing over $200,000 in production, Roxanne's back in the game and can keep delivering for this week's gold wave.
40:35Nice job, man.
40:47How's four wash plants treating you, Chris?
40:50Oh, it's a little bit hectic.
40:53I'm curious to what it's going to be like when you get a full week's run with no breakdowns.
40:58Dude, yeah, I can't leave you alone for five minutes, man.
41:02My toe's still black from that rock you threw at it.
41:07Surprisingly, that's the first time we've had any sort of problem like that in 13 years.
41:13That was definitely one of the biggest.
41:15We are very fortunate to have really good mechanics here.
41:19Yeah.
41:19Well, it sounds like you guys had all the fun we needed for the week because things up here went just fine.
41:25Nothing to report.
41:28Well, Roxanne has a few hours on it down at Indian River.
41:32In their first week of running four plants, the crew hauled in 669 ounces.
41:3920, 30, 40.
41:42Ooh, 49.6.
41:46Got to run to make gold, man.
41:48Yeah.
41:48At least there's something.
41:51Now, the gold from Dominion Creek.
41:55Bridge cut, Bob.
41:56Let's see how it did.
41:5720, 40, 60, 100, 130, 140, 147.05.
42:07That's not bad.
42:09Yeah.
42:09Then we got the golden mile.
42:11This is the two plants, right?
42:12Well, here we go.
42:13Next, the combined gold from Slucifer and Big Red.
42:1860, 100, 130, 160, 200, 30, 232.05.
42:28F*** yeah.
42:29This week we have 428.7 ounces.
42:33Worth just over one and a half million dollars, but over 200 ounces less than last week's haul.
42:40Last week, we had 669.85 ounces.
42:45Significant drop.
42:46Yeah.
42:47But the season total, though, is 5,350.25.
42:52Wow.
42:53So we broke the halfway mark.
42:56That's good.
42:57We're up and running.
42:58Yeah.
42:58It's just going to be nice to get four plants going full time.
43:02Which is going to be hard to do, you know.
43:05We won't leave Brennan home alone anymore.
43:08Yeah.
43:08All right.
43:10Thanks, guys.
43:10Good job, you guys.
43:11Let's double this next week, eh?
43:13Right.
43:14Sounds good.
43:16How we're going to manage to have as much uptime as we can with this many wash plants running,
43:21you know, that's going to determine our gold total at the end of the year because we have tons of ground open.
43:26So the whole name of the game is keeping wash plants running, and this week is a pretty poor example of that.
43:33But I don't think it's, you know, I don't think it's like a systematic issue on our part.
43:40I think we'll be able to keep things running.
43:42We'll see.
43:42Hello.
43:53Ready?
43:54Yeah, we're ready.
43:55How are you guys?
43:56It's ready.
43:59The 950 finally got here.
44:02Well, that long walk, let's put it that way.
44:04It was Egan that walked it.
44:05Little f***er is pretty good yet, too.
44:07My dream is to see all my kids operate on one big line.
44:12You've got problems, lady.
44:15Okay, Monica, can you bring any gold?
44:18Rivercut pay around all week, so there should be some gold to show for.
44:22Sluicealot first.
44:25Ten.
44:26Tony's two-plant blitz on the Rivercut churned through pay without stopping.
44:31And last week, Sluicealot delivered 297 ounces alone.
44:37290, 300, 319, 06.
44:43That's not bad.
44:44That's a nice little hole.
44:45Now should we see a find-a-lot, found-a-lot more gold?
44:47Sure, do it.
44:48Pour in.
44:49Let's see what you got.
44:50Brand new plant, find-a-lot, produced 84 ounces of gold from two days running last week.
44:5830, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 120, 160, 180, 200, 240, 280, 300, 330, 339.68.
45:16With just two plants, Tony's hauled in 658 ounces, worth over two and a quarter million dollars.
45:24It's his biggest gold way of the season, and brings his total to 3,939 ounces.
45:32That's a lot of bucks today.
45:35I don't have no problems getting rid of it.
45:37When's the last time you got a new shirt?
45:39This morning.
45:41I think everybody should go back to work.
45:42I think I'm going to have a nap.
45:44You go for it.
45:45That pay pile was huge.
45:57Yeah, it was.
45:57Rick thought 400 ounces was going to come out of that pay pile, so.
46:00Even though we only got 110 ounces last week, but maybe we'll get a little bit more this week.
46:06So, Bailey, how did you do with getting pay this week?
46:08There is no pay this week, because someone had to keep breaking trucks, so I couldn't reach my goal.
46:15You have one job.
46:16It's to drive trucks, not break them.
46:17It was a task that, you know, I thought I could accomplish, but at the end of the day, there's a lot more material there than I expected.
46:23There you can see.
46:24Oh, you guys are cozy.
46:25What's going on, Rick?
46:26I've snuggled right in.
46:27What's up, dudes?
46:28After pivoting back to Vegas Valley, Rick's eager to find out how much gold was left in the pay pile from last season.
46:37So, the nice thing is that it did not quite fit in the one flask, so there's 100 ounces there, and we got a bunch in here.
46:45Here we go.
46:4610, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, we're at 110, 120, 135, 140, 147.4.
47:10Nice.
47:10Ooh.
47:11So, Rick's weekly total is 247, worth $866,000, his biggest gold weigh of the season.
47:24That's way better.
47:25One week, that's good.
47:27That's shy of 400, but not by much.
47:30No.
47:30Rick's season total is now 437 ounces.
47:35You've obviously proven that there's gold in the bottom of that hole.
47:38Bailey just needs to dig that out.
47:41We've got to get to pay, get to it quick, get to it safely.
47:44We've been there before, but.
47:46We've always finished strong.
47:47Yeah.
47:48You guys know what it's going to take, a lot of work, but I know you're up for it.
47:51Thanks for trusting us.
47:52Absolutely.
47:53Thanks for trusting me.
47:54Cheers.
47:54Cheers.
47:55Man down.
47:57Man down.
47:58Cheers.
