00:00It's complete nonsense. It is complete nonsense. I spoke to parents of young men who had lost their
00:05lives in Afghanistan, and I think it is a disgrace to denigrate their memory like that.
00:10Every November, we celebrate our fallen. It's not just World War I or World War II. It is more
00:17recent conflicts like Iraq and Afghanistan. And I think that there is too much careless talk
00:22from President Trump. He clearly doesn't know the history of what happened. I'm somebody who
00:27believes in NATO. It is a force for good in the world. We need a strong NATO. We mustn't have
00:34these sorts of throwaway remarks that actually weaken the strong relationship between those
00:38countries in the alliance. I think the PM should ask for an apology and the PM should ask for a
00:44retraction or a clarification of those remarks. Something similar happened when JD Vance made
00:50comments like that. I remember sending a message because he's someone who I do know just saying,
00:54I don't think people understood what you said. Would you like to say it again? And he did
00:59so, so that would be welcome.
01:24I am disappointed by President Trump's comments because to imply that we as a country that has
01:41always stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States and the other European NATO allies
01:47have stood shoulder to shoulder with the United States, have taken part in US-led missions in
01:53places like Afghanistan and Iraq. 457 British soldiers lost their lives. That is, you know,
02:04that is the reality. We always stand shoulder to shoulder with our NATO allies. Our armed forces
02:12are extraordinary. And I just want to pay tribute to them today. I think we need to move away from
02:20some of the noises that we've had over, you know, many issues that we've had to deal with over the
02:27last days and weeks and get back to the fundamental values that underpin the NATO alliance.
02:34And that's the way it is. That can be more simple. It's just the way it is. I hope we don't have to do
02:38it. This is important. You did a great job. That's a really great job. We've been very successful.
02:44Yeah, I think it's extremely disrespectful. Like I say, you know, some of my colleagues and 457 other
02:51people paid the ultimate sacrifice for that conflict that we was in. And thousands of guys like myself
02:57were injured and are still bearing that sacrifice every single day. Not a day goes by when we're not
03:04in some kind of pain physically or mentally reflecting on that conflict. So I think it's very disrespectful to
03:10say that we weren't on the front line. I actually worked over there with some American soldiers, some EOD
03:16guys as well. So if they were on the front line and I was next to him, clearly we were on the front line as well.
03:40I think it was a good thing if you did a little bit. What we have to do is replicate. It is the model that is
03:48this idea. If you don't even want to do a problem, you can't fix it. So if you don't know what you're
03:52saying then, I think that's right. So if you don't know what I'm saying, we're not doing it.
03:54It is this idea. If you don't know what I'm saying, I'm going to do a lot and there's a lot of people
04:06All we have to do is replicate is the bottle and then everything else.
