00:00A dog petting zoo?
00:02See, that's what we've discovered.
00:04It won't be just done!
00:08Let me tell you how obnoxious this guy is.
00:10Those are the best days where you don't have to do this .
00:23Last time I saw you, you were hiding in the wings of Andor
00:25with your lovely lady looking at her.
00:27Yes, yes.
00:29Those are the best days where you don't have to do this shit.
00:32And you look so in love.
00:34You're just the support anchor.
00:36Baby, you look great.
00:37Doesn't she look great?
00:38You're killing it.
00:39I love you.
00:40Is it nice that you don't have to do that?
00:41I don't know where she's at.
00:42She's not supporting shit right now.
00:44Where's she at?
00:45So who had this on their bingo card this year?
00:47Drax and Aquaman in one film together.
00:50I know.
00:51Wow.
00:52I know.
00:53Is that exciting?
00:54Well, I mean, we've done a lot together so far,
00:56so that's the reason why we decided to do this
00:58is because we've never got to do comedy and be in a warm place
01:02and not have to, you know, we have some action in here,
01:05but it's like, he's just, Dave's just a really beautiful,
01:10he's a fun dance partner, you know?
01:12Like, it's fun.
01:13We're very much like a ying and a yang.
01:15I'm a little more nuts than him.
01:17He's a little more chill.
01:18He's probably more wise and probably more stupid.
01:20So, you know, it's like it's a perfect match.
01:22Oh, Jack's Aquaman.
01:24It was, yeah, it was on my bingo card.
01:27Yeah, no, I mean, we made this happen.
01:29Like, we manifested this.
01:31And really through our relationship, getting to know each other
01:35on his TV series, C.
01:37That's when we discovered him.
01:38I'm going to be just done!
01:40Yeah!
01:42Not competitive at all.
01:44He really is.
01:45He's like an annoying little brother.
01:47You know, he's like the annoying little brother
01:49that I always wanted.
01:50How long did you keep him in check?
01:51Because he must have been chaotic.
01:52No, well, that's the thing.
01:53So, and this is why we work.
01:55I don't try to keep him in check.
01:56We don't really, we're not, I'm not, he can compete all he wants.
02:00I could care less.
02:02I am a very low energy person.
02:04I just, I'm on my own pace.
02:05And he's, he's like that.
02:07If you had to start a business together and you're not actors,
02:09what are you starting?
02:10Together?
02:11Yeah.
02:12Oof.
02:13Oof.
02:14What are we starting together?
02:15That's a really good question.
02:16I have no idea.
02:17But maybe it has some, I mean, what would, what would we,
02:19how would we make?
02:20Uh, he loves animals.
02:24I love animals.
02:25It would probably have to be something animal based.
02:28Um, saving animals.
02:31Um.
02:32Yes.
02:33Dog petting zoo.
02:35I don't know.
02:36Please.
02:37Or time exams.
02:38Yeah.
02:39Just a place for people to hang out with animals.
02:42Oh, I was going to say like an alcohol business,
02:45but he's already got his and I've already got mine.
02:47But, uh, yeah, I don't know.
02:49Or it might be just a production company.
02:51I think we're both just so passionate about films and filmmaking.
02:54I think it'd probably be that.
02:55He said animals.
02:56Some animal.
02:57Oh, that's definitely like a shelter or something.
02:59Like all in for that.
03:00Yes.
03:01Yeah.
03:02What about who was the biggest menace on set?
03:03Who was the naughtiest?
03:04I'm a, I'm a menace.
03:05I had to play a menace.
03:06So I just, I lived in it the whole time.
03:07I annoyed him the whole time.
03:08That was my job.
03:09You absolutely loved that.
03:10Excuse me.
03:11And thank you for bringing happiness into our lives right now.
03:13We really need a film like this.
03:14Do you agree?
03:15Yeah.
03:16I do.
03:17Everyone needs to see Hawaii in the wintertime.
03:19It's fucking cold and brutal and rainy.
03:21I haven't seen the sun here since I've been here.
03:23Yes.
03:24We need to see Hawaii.
03:25Yes.
03:26We need to laugh.
03:27Yes.
03:28I want some action.
03:29Yes.
03:30I want to heal some family trauma.
03:31Let's fucking do it.
03:32You're welcome.
03:33David Teese and Jason Momoa out.
03:34Let me tell you.
03:35Let me tell you how obnoxious this guy is.
03:38I damn near killed myself to lose weight for this film.
03:42He showed up.
03:43He was overweight.
03:44He was 30, 40 pounds overweight within like a month gone.
03:48He just shedded it.
03:49It was so obnoxious, but I think he got there and he saw that I was like lean.
03:53And he, I think he like put something on Instagram.
03:56Like, I don't know, like four or five months before it was like, I'm training.
03:59You better get ready.
04:00I'm training for a Batista.
04:01So I started training.
04:02Thinking he's going to be shredded.
04:05He tricked you.
04:06Yeah.
04:07And he tricked me and he shows up.
04:08But I think when he, when I showed up and I was, you know, I was lean, decided he was
04:11going to get lean.
04:12And I swear to God, like a month into filming, he was shredded.
04:15So it's so annoying.
04:16Well, I like London.
04:17I like London because I know what I'm expecting.
04:20So I turned to London, I did not disappoint.
04:23So I'm loving it.
04:24And how are you coping being between the two most musseliest, busiest men in the world right
04:30now?
04:31Um, I try not to think about their size and think about their caliber of character and
04:36of actors that they are, which gives me the great honor to be able to play with them.
04:41How did you keep up with them?
04:42Because the energy that Jason's got, I mean, was there a lot of tequila going on?
04:46Uh, not really.
04:47This has been my most sober shoot, to be honest.
04:51Um, but I think that my ADHD helps.
04:56But was it fun when you got to kind of chill out with them after shooting?
04:59Yeah.
05:00Yeah.
05:01Yeah.
05:02Yeah.
05:03It's always fun.
05:04You know, after beating the shit out of each other, it's always like, they will get
05:05into like a hot tub and the warmth.
05:07And you know what I mean?
05:08Like at the end of the day, they're very vocal about how much fun they had in this movie.
05:14And I can relate.
05:15It wasn't an easy shoot, but no film is an easy shoot.
05:18Yeah.
05:19But I think that's when it's worth it at the end of the day.
05:22And I was blessed to have not just a great cast, but also a great crew, both in New Zealand,
05:27in Hawaii, and on the post-production level, and that made everything worthwhile.
05:32So if you were going to do a business with these two guys, and you weren't in the acting
05:37world, what would you set up?
05:38What are you doing together?
05:39Wow.
05:40What business I would do?
05:42Bike shop and a tattoo shop.
05:44Were there any tattoos going on behind the scenes after filming that you all got together?
05:49Uh, kind of like during filming and before filming.
05:52Like I got these tattoos here done by a Kahuna that I, when I do a film in a different culture,
06:02I get embedded in the culture and without whoever's blessing, I don't feel comfortable doing it.
06:08So I went through the, through the whole process of a ritual of getting these tattoos done by,
06:15by a spiritual leader in Hawaii.
06:17And that was very special.
06:19It was all like stick and poke, like, we're like, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak, tak.
06:23So it was very painful, but that's part of the process.
06:26Have you got matching ones?
06:27No, but it's very similar because of like the shark tooth or like the eel bone, the ray, the eye of God.
06:33Like those are like patterns that are traditional in Polynesian culture.
06:37So a lot of it looks the same.
06:40Like he has the shark tooth on the side, I have the shark tooth here.
06:43So a lot of stuff like that.
06:44And then I went to the old Sailor Jerry tattoo shop.
06:50And I got this tattoo.
06:54I got the little devil and the little angel there.
06:57Because I had to.
06:58It's one of the oldest tattoo shops in America.
07:00So for me, it was good to be there.
07:02But to my surprise, the owner of that shop right now is a Puerto Rican friend of mine.
07:09I didn't know he owned it.
07:10They were like, what the hell?
07:11Like, we are everywhere.
07:13That is amazing.
07:14But thank you so much for bringing some happiness into our lives.
07:16Of course.
07:17We really need it, especially when the weather's like this in London.
07:19Listen, we need excitement.
07:20We need good action.
07:21We need fun.
07:22We need comedy.
07:23But we also need heart.
07:25Yeah.
07:26And I think if anything people can get away from this movie is that it doesn't matter how
07:30the world is.
07:31It doesn't matter if you had a disagreement with your family member.
07:34Talk it out.
07:35What's the worst that can happen?
