05:11where we signed a historic deal
05:14with Mercosur
05:15next week we will be in India
05:19for another ground-breaking agreement
05:21and negotiations are advancing
05:24with many others
05:25who want to do business with us
05:27these deals
05:29will open massive opportunities
05:32for our businesses
05:34they will create jobs
05:37here in Europe
05:38they will give us resilience
05:41and security of supply
05:43because the more trading partners we have worldwide
05:47the more independent we are
05:50and that is exactly
05:52what we need
05:53if we take Mercosur
05:58which I know is hotly debated
06:00in this house
06:01the deal secures our access
06:04to raw materials
06:05our industry needs
06:07and the benefits for European companies
06:10will be huge
06:11just take the automotive sector
06:14European exports
06:17to Mercosur
06:18can rise by 20 billion euros
06:20or 200%
06:23or look at the chemicals
06:25or machineries
06:26same effects
06:28the deal with Mercosur
06:30will deliver huge gains
06:32also for producers
06:33of dairy
06:33wine
06:34spirits
06:35oil
06:35and much more
06:36at the same time
06:39we have listened carefully
06:41to your concerns
06:42and to our farmers
06:44and we have secured
06:46strong safeguards
06:48for our sensitive
06:49agri-food sectors
06:51I believe this is a deal
06:54that will bring benefits
06:55across our economy
06:57and across every member state
07:00so to conclude
07:02honourable members
07:03this moment of global change
07:05is fraught with dangers
07:07and Europe must be ready
07:09to change even faster
07:11to become more independent
07:14for its own future
07:15this will not be easy
07:18it will require difficult decisions
