00:00One billion U.S. dollars. That is the price Trump demanded in exchange for a permanent seat on his Board of Peace.
00:10According to a draft reviewed by Bloomberg, invitations were sent to no fewer than 60 countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, France and Germany, as well as Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and Argentine President Javier Millet.
00:30Trump is expected to chair the council at its first meeting and will select the countries that will be officially invited to join. Membership will be granted for a three-year term.
00:42A U.S. official told CNBC that there are no mandatory fees to join the council, but that a contribution of one billion dollars would guarantee permanent membership.
00:53Every dollar raised, the official said, would be directed toward the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
