00:00Fly for the passion of football with Royal Air Morocco.
00:08Hello everybody, I'm Mohamed Elashi.
00:11Welcome to the final episode of Football Now AFCON Special.
00:15And I'm Anna Cayola.
00:17It's been a tournament full of surprises and unforgettable moments.
00:20From the streets to the stadiums, the energy has been electric.
00:24Morocco versus Senegal, and we have our champions.
00:27But looking back, this tournament has been about more than just the game.
00:32It's been about the cities, the movement, and the journeys that connected the whole country.
00:39Casablanca Airport has been a hub throughout the tournament,
00:42with fans arriving from across Africa and beyond.
00:45The terminals carry the spirit of the tournament,
00:49creating an immersive welcome for everyone arriving.
00:52From arrivals to check-ins,
00:54AFCON Energy fills the airport with staff part of everyday moment.
01:00Even stepping off the plane, or through the airport, you feel part of something bigger.
01:06Then the journey continues on Morocco's high-speed trains, connecting cities and fans.
01:11The stations are full of energy, and you can feel the excitement everywhere.
01:16Morocco's story was alive throughout the tournament, with Rabat right at the center of it.
01:23Including historic sites that connected the past with the energy of AFCON.
01:28The Udayas are one of Rabat's oldest quarters, a historic fortress above the Atlantic.
01:40Its walls have stood for centuries, watching the city around them.
01:44Step through the gates and the pace slows.
01:47Inside, walkways and gardens offer a calm, quieter sight of Rabat after weeks of football.
02:01AFCON didn't just leave memories.
02:03It's also left something tangible behind.
02:06In Casablanca, football's impact reaches beyond the stadium.
02:14A local playground was transformed into a place where young players can train, play and dream.
02:20A small change with a lasting effect.
02:24I saw the passion that the kids had for football,
02:27and at the same time, the lack of possibilities.
02:30Most of them were dropping out of school.
02:31You have to see this place, before it was renovated, to see the states, the condition of this playground.
02:40They helped us even throwing the trash away.
02:45We want to do something for kids, we want to do something for us too.
02:48And the final project is to find a big project to help kids to find another way in the sports business.
03:01From the streets, to the community, it's all it's here.
03:04The biggest night of the tournament.
03:06Morocco, Senegal, one final chapter.
03:12Senegal has won the African Cup of Nations in a dramatic fashion.
03:16Pap Gay scored an extra time for the Teranga Lions to beat host Morocco 1-0 in a chaotic final.
03:22A Panenka miss by Brahim Abdelkader Diaz gave the Terangas another boost in the match.
03:29This was Senegal's fourth appearance in the Africa Cup final,
03:32and it is the second title for the last of Teranga in the last three African tournaments.
03:40I think the first half was like 60-41.
03:44We dominated, we have chances, but at the end of the day, we didn't score.
03:49Morocco has like one, two chances, they could have scored, but I think the second half was 50-50.
03:55At the beginning of the second half, you could see like the Moroccan players trying to do their best.
04:01But I think the major breakdown of the second half is a penalty.
04:05That wasn't a penalty, it's unfortunate, but it is like that, it is what it is.
04:10At the end of the day, he missed it, and we are happy for that.
04:13We went to the extra time, we scored that goal, and it couldn't end much better than that.
04:18What a journey this tournament has been.
04:21From the cities, to the fans, to the final that delivered.
04:24And Senegal lift the trophy.
04:26This is AFCON 2025.
04:28Not the ending that Morocco wanted, but one that won't be forgotten.
04:32Fly for the passion of football with Royal Air Maroc.
04:59And there was a market for the first half.
05:00So I won't go to the first half of my career.
05:07But I don't know if I did.
05:09You know it's a tough person that can be known for it.
05:13The first half of my career is the way to go back.
05:15It's a tough person you can do that, and it's really hard.
05:18If you want to go back to the summit, you can take it away.
05:21If you want to cry, you will stay at the top of the top.
