RN Ravi walked out of the Legislative Assembly without delivering his customary new year address to the legislators, taking exceptions to a host of issues.
00:00The summary of Tamil Nadu assembly is that we start with Tamil Taewaltu and we end with the national anthem.
00:09That is what has also happened today. But eventually governor wanted to find some lame reasons to walk out.
00:14He staged a walk out. That is what he is. He is habitual in it and which a man from such a high office shouldn't be doing this always.
00:21Whatever he says is totally misleading.
00:24See, he told the state government what has given us the governor's speech is misleading.
00:30See, you should understand very clearly. Already the governor's speech is sent to the governor from the assembly.
00:36And the governor has approved the speech and then he has come to talk to it.
00:39And why is he now telling it is misleading? It's 11.9% growth, which is the highest in the country.
00:45India, Tamil Nadu has been very good to all people in the state.
00:50So, Tamil Nadu is now one of the most aspiring states of the country, which BJP is not an ally or BJP is not in rule here.
01:00So, the governor is not happy with it. So, he says that it is misleading. These are all not factual.
01:07But these are the real facts. Facts cannot go false.
01:10Governor is repeatedly violating the constitutional norms.
01:13Actually, governor's address is which is prepared by the state government and the five years of the various achievements done by the state government.
01:22And the what are the actions that will be taken for the future course of action will be there in the document.
01:27It's prepared by the state and is given to the governor.
01:30The governor in his position has to read out what the state government has prepared.
01:34And this has been the norm which has been followed by our constitutional framework.
01:37I think the government has, governor has his inhibitions to read out the true facts about the Tamil Nadu achievements.
01:47So, yes, founded a peculiar reason.
01:50And everybody will know we always stand for our national anthem towards the end of any session.
01:54We don't begin with.
01:56So, we begin with our Tamil Nadu.
01:57Then, after that, after our proceedings is over, we end up the issue with our national anthem.
02:04I think the governor has unwantedly raised his issue because he is not, his mind is not enough to read the achievements and facts about the state government.
02:14See, this is, you should understand this assembly which is enshrined in the constitution where the people, elected members, have their rights to give their opinions.
02:24Right.
02:25So, it is a people's voice chamber.
02:28Governor in his position as a nominal head has no rights to give out his opinion and personal note.
02:35So, your governor expressed his, began the state proceedings and to express his view on national anthem should be sung before the start of the session which is not the norms of this assembly at all.
02:47So, it is very much obvious that the governor has violated the constitutional framework, the governor has insulted the constitutional framework and that expression has been brought into as a special motion by our chief minister to express that.
