00:00Is Poland's president promoting a Bitcoin platform?
00:07If you heard that Poland's president, Karol Nowrowski, was promoting a Bitcoin investment platform,
00:13you would probably raise your eyebrows.
00:15Szanowni rodacy, zwracam siÄ™ do was w historycznym momencie.
00:21Dokładnie do północy dziś mija ostatnia szansa, aby zostać częścią rządowego programu Bitcoin Trader AI.
00:28But with a simple reverse image search, his suspicious speech can be traced back to an announcement
00:34Nowrowski, Poland's president, gave in November 2025.
00:38The reverse image search shows that his voice has been digitally manipulated,
00:42making him speak about something completely different to the real announcement.
00:46Nowrowski from the nationalist Conservative Law and Justice Party was addressing a backlash
00:51from Prime Minister Donald Tusk's centrist Civic Coalition government.
00:54This is because Nowrowski has consistently vetoed government-backed bills,
00:58since taking office in August.
01:00Up until January, this amounted to more vetoes than his predecessor,
01:03Andrzej Duda, passed over the course of his decade-long presidency.
01:07So at no point did Nowrowski mention the promotion of an investment platform.
01:11According to Polish non-profit Demagog, the video shows clear signs of AI manipulation.
01:16This is not the first time that Nowrowski has been targeted by deepfakes,
01:20calling for investment on social media.
01:21The scam has likely been constructed around the fact that Nowrowski has expressed support
01:26for cryptocurrency in the Bitcoin industry.
01:29This video fits into a well-documented crypto scam playbook that has evolved with AI tools.
01:36Scammers use public figures' faces to promote Bitcoin.
01:39This is to make schemes appear legitimate and push people to act quickly.
