00:00An injunction banning street racing from taking place across the black country is being reviewed.
00:05The order, led by Wolverhampton Council, makes it illegal to take part as a driver, rider or passenger
00:12and also bans organising, promoting or publicising gatherings.
00:16It also covers spectators.
00:19The injunction applies in Sandwell, Dudley, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
00:23Supporters say street racing is antisocial and highly dangerous
00:27and has led to deaths and serious injuries.
00:30Anyone who breaches the order could face arrest, a fine, imprisonment or have vehicles and assets seized.
00:37The injunction was granted in February 2024 and runs until 2027, subject to annual review.
